@mistermellow001 The reason the brands are not mentioned is because product placement and in-show advertising is not permitted on UK television. Brands can be mentioned only when editorially justifiable. Minor instances of where the rule has been flaunted tend to be ignored, but anything too blatent gets a slapped wrist. Mentioning Polaroid is certainly a rule break. They should have said "instant camera" or something. But the odd minor slip-up like that would usually not cause any fuss.
Wow, this show missed out on a lot of advertising revenue. I don't think I've ever seen a game show that didn't name the maker of the prizes. A motor scooter. What KIND of motor scooter? They did mention the polaroid camera by name, but not the Walkman.
