GAIJIN STORE 3% DISCOUNT AND DECAL: store.gaijin.n... Fw190A-1 is the most fun I've had in this game in awhile. putmeinna Thank you everyone for your continued support, it really does mean a lot. . . . . . .
@@svidentkyrponos7530 Its a lighter plane and it still has its old flight model. Every other A and D model they're heavier and have newer flight models. (They start tumbling if you get to really low speed because of the heavy noses.)
The Fw-190 is the first plane I genuinely enjoyed playing. Went all the way from low tier props to low tier jets in the U.S. tech tree and didn’t have as much fun as using an Fw-190
I used to love the Antons (especially my beloved A5/U2) ever since I first played War Thunder in 2022...but when Gaijin nerfed/made the engines overheat a lot faster a few months ago, its almost impossible now to climb to altitude and BnZ/energy fight (which is what all Fw 190 solely rely on) without getting my engine cooked (and they take a long time to cool down as well) when Antons already have high drag and poor linear energy rentention. The Doras don't overheat on long periods of WEP as much and they are faster/retain their speed much better so they're the only Fw 190s I actually enjoy playing rn..😢
@@reinbeers5322 yeah but they overheat way slower and are much faster...so you can do a lot more before having to cool down and also keep some energy. And in snow maps it's almost impossible to overheat the doras. Edit: All fw 190s suffer from more oil overheating than engine overheating
War Thunder honestly does make the later A models overheat way faster than really makes sense. Sure the cowling is still much tighter than would have been optimal. But with that propellor reduction gear driven fan and the suction from the now highly heated air blasting out through the exhaust pipe outlet slots a lot of air was moved across the oil cooler and engine. Realistically the Fw 190A-1 and probably A-4, with their short engine mounts, should overheat faster than the later models. Focke-Wulf put a lot of effort into improving the air flow over the BMW 801 for each successive variant of 190. But even being able to run the latest engines at higher power settings longer never really made up for the 190’s rapidly increasing weight, so….
So sad that 5.7-6.7 props are so dead, they should just give you infinite credits if you've bought a Ju 288C and then remove it from the roster so that they won't get spammed out as much. Low tier props are definitely the way to go rn.
yeah the j288 destroyed this br bracket, I personaly love the yak 3u but half of the time I will climb and the match will just end from the j288 and the 2 fighter that didnt climb, or the other half my entire team chases the j288 and I am stuck alone vs the rest of the enemy team and just die
While the Ju 288C did help in ruining 5.7-6.7br, to put all the blame on the Ju 288C would be unfair considering the amount of US and British Superprops from 6.0-6.7br vs. Axis aircraft that practically get only a few competitive aircraft in the same BR range. Like even without the Ju 288C, the BR range is really unfun as every game at 5.3-6.3br range, you face stuff like the P-51H, F2G, F8F-1B, Tempest mk 2, and F7F which will outperform many of planes at 5.3-6.3br. When its 5.7-6.7br, then you include the Spitfire mk 22 and mk 24 and its the same problem.
@@thegreenbolt2819 I agree on your point with the P51H, it definitely should be 6.7 with the Griffons, you have to be smoking crack to think the Tempest Mk 2 is undertiered, its one of the worse planes at that BR. F7F is pretty decent but it still loses to contemporary props. I'm not sure about other tech trees, but the German Ta's are definitely competitive at 6.0-6.7, since they climb so well and can rate fight with full flaps out and still lose barely any speed. The Spitfires at 6.7 are hard to fix since if they have a full up tier they're miserable, but in a downtier they dominate every other prop other than the P51H.
been playing 5.0, 5.7 for a lot and honestly the 288 spam isn't that bad now, probably because all the bot hosters moved onto the premium Tornado to bomb bases and now US/UK teams actually have more bombers most of the time
You should play the fw190 A-4 it’s my favorite Fw. Despite it having that early mid fockwolfe engine it gets two more cannons with 400 rounds and those two cannons shred, it feels like they do more damage
The F-190s are great if you know how to use them, I grind to jets with the American f-190 and it was on of my most used aircraft’s before I started to go for other nations. If I remember correctly some of their engines cool themselves quite well without using MEC and climb better then what the stat card will tell you. It’s a fun airplane.
I'm not big on props but these were ones I certainly enjoyed. Was interested in the 109's to but I was unfamiliar with the dogshit that is german 6.0 matchmaker when I was wanting to get the top ones.
Can we all just take a moment to bask in the glorious fact that the Ki-45 has 4 skins, of which one is a USAAF captured Ki-45..... dogwater plane though, the 37mm is godawful. (It's funny tho)
Joobie? Could we please see some Meteor Mk.8 gameplay? It's an amazing defensive flyer and I consistently find myself getting 6-7 kill games in it simply from being able to handle absolutely anything you can run into :D
The 3.0 demon… full down tier it’s unstoppable if you zoom, shoot, and scoot… full up tier strategy is needed… with 18 sec flat turn time and its top end… it’s unstoppable… only other aircraft that posses a thereat is the VL and sakeen but even then it’s really powerful… imo the max br you can take it too before ur outclassed is 3.7 which even in a 4.7 uptier it still holds it own… at low speeds with flaps and low altitude it’s extremely touchy and punishes bad players but is the most forgiving aircraft imo and for a fighter it’s got good survivability… noice content 👌
@@nilakalis854 It got massively nerfed over the last 2 years (less engine power, overheats faster, compresses badly , pitch controls are unresponsive) and yet its BR never dropped. It is truly dreadful to fly, you need to side-climb, boom and zoom and not dive too fast or you compress. The 190 A5/U2 and A5/U14 are better and inexplicably 0.7 BR lower. The 190 A5/U12 is just as bad but it gets ridiculous firepower so it can at least melt bombers
