But, They're different cannon's. The 262's have MK 108's And the Me-410 B-6 has MK 103's with the ability to fire the HVAP rounds. Unless you're talking about the Squadron 262.

262 A1 and horton has 103's, as does all the DO335's (A1 version available @ 4.3, and carries 1k bombs), and the f190W-F8 can take 103's in underwing pods.

@@destroyerarmor2846 People with tunnel vision usually don't fly loops, unless they have a target that flies loops too, which the Wyvern didn't have. Either way, this is not what I am talking about. I am talking about the real Wyvern in reality. It was slow and it had a pathetic ceiling height. That is what I don't understand. I am long past complaining about Warthunder. I only talked about the real Wyvern because this video reminded me of it. I don't give a rat's ass about what the Wyvern is like in the game or what mistake the guy playing it made. That game has been dead to me for 7 or 8 years now. If I weren't subscribed to this channel, I wouldn't even know people still play this trash and I am only subscribed because I like Phly's humor, but I would be really glad if he would finally start playing something else, preferably something I'm interested in.

It was a shitty engine because the technology was immature while at the same time piston engines were nearly as good as they were ever going to get.

@@solutionless123 The engine doesn't seem to have been the problem. It did work and produced a lot of power. The issue was probably that the aircraft was too heavy, but then again, probably not. It had roughly the same power to weight ratio as a FW 190 D-9 for example, but was slower and had like 2/3 of the ceiling height. So weight alone can't have been the issue. The other big turbine propeller project of that time, the A2D Skyshark did way better. It was lighter and had even more power, despite having been developed at the same time as the Wyvern. Meaning, turbine powered planes didn't have to be as heavy as the Wyvern. The Skyshark had 3 times the rate of climb and almost twice the ceiling height of the Wyvern, while being 120 mph faster. Especially the low ceiling height is baffling to me, because the biggest advantage of a turbine over a piston engine, besides providing more power for the size and weight and having less moving parts, is that they basically have pretty much the same power output at all altitudes and don't lose power at higher altitudes, like piston engines do. So what prevented the Wyvern from flying higher than 28 000 feet? Of course, the thinner the air gets, the harder it becomes for the propeller to transfer that power to the air and turn it into forward momentum, but I don't see why the Wyverns propeller would have been so much worse at doing that than the Skyshark's propeller, or that of any other contemporary or late war propeller plane.

@@TrangleC iirc it comes down to airframe shape. Wyvern has a lot of induced drag which pulls its max performance down quite a bit.
