Em’s flow/cadence/voice on this was effortlessly dope. He shows flashes of brilliance post 2003 and is still lyrically nice AF pen game wise on his A game of late but what is much more rare is his buttery AF flow like 80% of his music from 96-03!
It’s just that the industry changed and the instrumentals that worked with that flow are no longer “popular” so everyone has to adapt in order to keep making money but Eminem has definitely tore apart every beat he’s been on as much as possible that’s for sure.
@@wushdishmeen true I just wish he was on way more classic vintage sounding amazing producers beats over the years to mix in with his and Dre beats. The fact he has so few to no songs with alchemist, premier, Pete rock, Apollo Brown, KNO, Muggs, Beatminerz, 9th Wonder, black milk, Daringer, Statik, Nicholas craven, Havoc, Erick Sermon, Buckwild, Timbaland, Nottz, RZA, Moleman, Statik, No ID, Kanye, Q-Tip, Prince Paul, El-P, Marley Marl, Stoupe, etc etc!
@@superdopehiphop yeah agreed, and i still am probs one of his biggest fans whej it comes to his new shit but i feel like he has rarely slid nicely on a beat in 10 years
@@ramanmahdy4556 Eminem was trying to state that Ja-Rule's music is not gangster as what Ja-Rule claim but family-friendly. Eminem basically stated that his music is PG and he's not really about that life.
extremely hot take: The murder inc catalog of the 2000s has aged 1000x better than the shady/aftermath catalog of the 2000s and that Ja and fat joe versuz just proves that
@@FranciscoSantos-hp9wv lmao 50cent's debut alone clears everything on Murder inc let's not even bring up eminem iconic 3 album run or Dre's chronic and 2001 😭
@@JamesChessman Alot of mixtapes were going around at the time. Em was beefing with Benzino and Ja Rule so they all had diss tracks against each other. Eminem killed Ja Rules and Benzinos career's. Gotta say scrolling through the comments of a random Eminem song in a playlist and to see Nelson Mandela commented... Gotta say, did not see that one coming....
what about "me and hailie dance to your songs we like you" or uhhh "youd bump this shit too if we aint diss you on it" ... Both of those are easily better lines imo
@@Kurdawari1993 to “son someone” means that you demonstrate superiority and put them in their place, like a father showing their kid why it’s his house. He says you couldn’t do that if my actual dad helped you, meaning even in your ideal conditions you’re not as good as me. The next line about punchlines hot means that his jokes are clever and saying his bars will melt you mean that the rhyme schemes are extremely good.
His voice and delivery on here is so laid back, buttery, yet deadly while still having that playful lethal pen! Wish Em came with this mellow smooth flow more often bc it’s soooooooooo ILL!
No. Thats just a crew that rides together.. Too much respect for the head of the pack to let someone diss him like that. Em has proven over and over again he can more than handle his own beef. You gotta be crazy to think he would ask for anyones help. He never needed help destroying people in rap battles, what would be any different after being well established. Insane you even thought of that let alone cared to mention it.
Affilate himself with other rappers? You mean the horses in the stable he rounded up on his label. LoL. Like we havent ever seen whole labels beefing with atrists of other labels in the history of rap. The only true thing here is your hate for eminem, but that doesn't change the facts. Where's Ja now? He pissed a lot of people off trying to be Pac, and for taking shots at Em so he got destroyed for. The end.
+Sasha Sarronen "so whats the problem? where was all the tough talk when i walked up to like, yo what up dawg? how come you didnt say you had a problem then? when you were standing there with all your men, we could of solved this then im a grown man come holla all you did was slap hands and swallow another one of them little x pills in front of me and tell me 50 cent was everything you wanna be" So like you were saying he didnt want to handle ja himself?? Ignorance is beautiful thing when your not trying to prove a point correctly. Peace.
+Christopher Lee Don't bother explaining anything to Sasha. Just an Eminem hater. If Sasha is saying that Eminem is scared "because he affiliated himself with more people", then the exact thing could be said for Ja Rule. Ja Rules camp jumped 50 Cent when 50 was by himself! Why couldn't Rule do it by himself? Hmmm seems like a straight pussy to me.
+Sasha Sarronen Why didn't Ja Rule see 50 one on one? Why did they have to hit the light switch to turn off the lights to jump 50? Looks like Ja Rule is the one that didn't want to do things one on one.
coming back years (I'm 35 now and I found this when I was like 17 or 18) later and this song still fire then I read the comment section and I'm happy not all the young minds follow mumble rap. we might have hope still holy shit
@@devoeiva1 i’m 16 i listen to a lot of 90s and early 2000s hip hop but a majority of my friends don’t there’s really 2 sides in my age group you like it or you don’t and the later is a much larger group
@@devoeiva1 kinda like that they don t care about lyrics for some people a song is good or trash just cause of the beat doesn t matter what you say on the track
Everyone, Wonder why some of you have never heard of Murda Inc? This badass Man named Eminem, 50. Cent, G-Unit. They are the reason you've never heard of Murda Inc.
If your an 80’s baby that means this dropped when you were in high school which means this was in heavy rotation at basement parties which means the nostalgia runs deep. What a time to grow up, wouldn’t change it for anything.
That x got him thinking he was dmx/ now he switched to pac now he trynna be him next/ so which one are you X luther pac or Michael/ just keep singing the same song recycle/
It was still an extremely avg verse and even though & Em come hard AF middle verse would of been way better if Busta, Royce, Twista, 50 Cent (since it was in 2003), Ransom, Nas, Jada (granted he was still friendly with Ja), Jay-Z, DMX or someone like that.
@@superdopehiphop dude, it's Tony Yayo, we're talkin about. It's not like we're talking about some elite MC. For Tony Yayo, average is good. However you want to phrase it, this is probably his best verse ever. At least, in my opinion. It would have made no sense for any of the other artists that you mentioned, outside of 50, to be on this track. Do you not understand that this was a beef between Murder Inc and Shady / G-Unit? It would have made no sense to put people a DMX or Jay-Z on the track. I'm not really sure that you understand how beefs work.
@@GrazsPlace I understand exactly how beefs work. I lived those beefs real time as an early 80s baby. Tony Yayo avg verse sandwiched in between two great MCs like Em & Banks just was slight let down. DMX was on Go to Sleep, Busta was on Hail Mary Remix, 50 Cent could of been on it (granted he’s not a great MC either but in 2003 he was in his 2000-2003 peak). Jay-Z was def a stretch and had no beef with Ja and in fact Can I get A with Ja was one of his first radio breaks. Royce and D-12 had some beef but he was still boys with Em and could of been on there as a fellow elite MC. You’re prob right though 50 would of made the most sense but DMX/Busta/Royce could of worked as well imo better then Yayo. I do agree though even though it was avg it was one of Yayo’s better verses 😂
I know he’s fallen off a bit and changed but i don’t get how people hear an Em verse like this and dont think he is or at least one of the greatest ever
Over 20 years of listening to him... he's not a gunslinger, dude is straight up a RapSlinger.. I'd say calling him a rapper is an understatement. His disses end rap careers. Dude don't have to kill anyone to have a body count...
Holla, I’m here from the future (2023) to tell you that this song is still banging even then, these mumble rappers can’t stay relevant for 5 consecutive years. #EM is King
Yo I remember when that beef began, I was loving it. It seemed like shady aftermath and G-unit were at it with everyone. And they were taking over at that time. I heard this on one of my mixtapes cd's, dj absolut, or whoo kid, green lantern, one of them dudes. Any way this was a fire ass track. A lyrical diss track. Em murdered this shit but they all snapped truthfully. I aint heard this shit in like 10 years. Love me from the 8 mile soundtrack brought me here, RU-vid suggestions did good........................................Peace
You know, when Em forst came out, i didnt really "feel him". But over several weeks/months, i couldnt help but say 'yeah, this got some serious game...smooth af'. Over the years, the appreciation of his music just grows...
My favorite part of this verse is the one I've heard Charlamagne tha God cite multiple times when other rappers talk about gang banging stuff or associating with old street gangs. "And I don't even carry guns no more, I don't got to/I got undercover cops that'll legally pop you." That's the way to do it. Gucci thinks he's the bully of the rap game. Thinks he could handle Eminem for Nick Cannon. Talks trash. But he won't say it in the booth cause he ain't got bars. And he won't say it in Detroit because he'll know he'll be leakin.
@@angryrick2330 Gucci said he was gonna "take care of Eminem" for Nick Cannon during their beef. But as Charlamagne pointed out on the breakfast club, this line on this song shows why that's not practical, especially for a trash rapper like Gucci. He wants to act like a bully on the radio because if he put it on wax he'd get smoked
Nobody seems to coment here about the fact that Ja told M that all he wants is to be like 50 and then M proceeds to bring 50 to crush his dreams. So I just did.
Lol drake he is done he can't even free style without a phone with the lyrics on it and still fucked it up never liked drake ja has way better songs than that and he's coming out with new songs and videos and movies yall see
same the king's of Marshall's g unit's and the best of rap and raping about people so for the king's of hip hop rap thank u all in gta5 there need to be king's of Eminem g unit songs in the radio station of jus Eminem g unit and all of the good's one's on there
First of all there is no one BEST there are like 10-50 amazing great to alien MCs who have arguments and their in the convo. Second of all while Em was GREAT 2000-2003 and he arguably iller/hungrier/rawer 96-99 so to leave that out shows you got a lot more listening to do!
i fucking love the voice of 50 cent in this, its very intimidating for the gouvernement that want his money -i know you dont want it with me -you know you dont want it we me -you, talk and you soon will see -you dont wanna bump heads with me
