I agree, these artists are some of the only remaining famous, skilled rappers unfortunately. Although they are helping bring more to the game, Ed Sheeran for example.
@@davidmarin4503 No not arrogant. You and others might be outliers but in general this generation CAN'T appreciate this music because the have been inundated with so much trash from such a young age, sub par talent has become the norm unfortunately/inevitably. Respect to millennials who have taken the red pill though.
@@brendonkezza9438 one thing I don’t understand is when they say this generation do they mean like 2010 and up? Because me and a lot of people I know were born in 08-07 and we listen to em a lot because if you mean 2010 and up than I understand
Mattoafc 789 lol no, not even close. Marshal Mathers lp 1 and the Eminem show are the peak of his lyrical ability. He is not sharper than ever lol you can hear how much he's trying to force his flow and lyrics to work now more than ever.
Mattoafc 789 "I guess that's why they call it window pain" lol! Almost every metaphor he has now he has to explain it or go back over it in case someone doesn't get the joke. "I guess you can call me/it a.."or "that's why they call me/it a.." is his new catch phrase now..real sharp
Bro, people don't understand that Eminem was on a different level in the early 2000s. Dude was scary with his lyrics. I heard that Benzino was on a suicide watch after the Invasion...
Well bcuz main stream hip hop is awful new fans which are casuals 90% think only mumbling and good beats means real hip hop and real og's like em are overrated or trash
I miss it so much... just hip hop beef in general... Waiting for the next mixtape to drop to see who responds and how... What a time... I don't think people understand man, these rappers don't have the same passion man.
@@loveinlatin Eminem is the most popular hip hop artist but he isn't top 5 OR top 10. There are SOO many better rappers in every aspect of hip hop as compared to Em. It's just people don't listen to them and say that the only rapper they listen to is the best in the world which is pretty annoying. Ever heard of Andre 3000, LL Cool J, Cool G or Pusha T? No, then you don't got the right to say that eminem is the best. he is top 15 in my opinion, his albums are very good, pretty enojoyable and good rapper in general but there are better one's
Impossible to say ever will be and debatable to say best there was. But one thing for sure, you cannot doubt the skill cleverness and flow of Eminem. I can say for certain that he is and forever will be ONE of the best MC's of all time!! (purely opinion but I think that the majority of opinions of the rap/hip hop fans would agree)
Omg part 3 was fucking perfection... Jesus Christ I forgot how amazing Eminem was on mixtapes.... ahh,...mixtapes... a forgotten art form. But god DAMN that 3rd verse was bananas !!! I’ve never heard such a perfect flow and delivery from em, blows my mind. Lyrics are perfect too, all around perfectly polished diss.
That line Em spit on part 2 goin at Royce da 5'9 was savage.... "My mind's fucking blown, trying to figure out how to fight my own clone, Rhine stones are so nice, they shine so bright especially at night, After a hit of ecstacy ain't that right Roy-ooah wait a minute I'm rambling, back to the mater at hand"
I mean you're welcome to your interpretation but I am pretty certain he just said woah, wait a minute I'm rambling. He was not beefing with Royce at this time. He had his hands full with Ja and Benzino. His issues with Royce were years prior if memory serves me right.
@@nls8520 I posted this while ago .. So I'ma try to remember.... So he's basically referring to Royce as his clone and Royce wore Rhine stones in his du rags alot... He was slighting him...
"That'll do anything To throw dirt on my name If it means walking The whole Mediterranean Is he an Albanian, Armenian....." The fucking lyrical thinking behind this sequence is what makes him the best in the books. Rhyming over the bar while keeping the rhyme but changing the scheme and flow at once... Its genius. Pure genius.
Em clearly understands “save the best for last” because Part 3 is limb from limb destruction. It’s one of those rare diss tracks where there is no legit answer back. Up there with “No Vaseline” by Cube or “Dollaz & Sense” by Quik - you take your medicine, admit he won and move on.
You sir have saved my life. I've been looking for this track for years but I couldn't remember for the life of me how it sounded. Only knew that it was a part 2 and 3 to it.
4:10 to 4:20 might have been the only suttle shots Em ever threw at Royce 5’9 during the D12 beef. Man would that have been a REAL lyrical beef... but he had too much on his plate already
@@jacobgrover8977 Em confirmed himself that he almost jumped in the d12 vs royce beef but decided against it because he was getting tired of all the beef and that he didnt want to fracture detroit into 2 rap factions essentially
we wouldn't be talking about no Royce today if Em was really going to diss him That time Em was a savage beast and Royce wasn't nowhere good as he's now and he's really not a battle rapper
So happy that I clicked on this video. I hadn't listened to the Invasion 1 since I was a kid and didn't know the name.. It just reminded me and shiiieeeet
Tht diggity, wiggity, jigga, biggie scheme .... he perfected it to an elite level in that song Best Friend he was featured in on Yelawolf song. But homie really had the early 2000 flow tho , frfr. And this fresh Asf. Plus infinite shows he had tht era of rap inherited also. Homie really just absorbed it as if his raised within it and he sure was and is. plus his own style homie has like atleast 1,000 different flows. All unique from the last and he has everyone else's flow mastered , but they cant master is or will ever
When will everyone just face it. When Eminem hangs up the mic. RAP goes with him! The word play is just unreal! Rap will never be the same and I think that’s what people struggle to admit.
The Invasion 'freestyles" were unbelievable. It still hurts to hear Em diss Royce on Invasion pt 2, tho lol "Rhinestones are so nice, they shine so bright. Especially at night after a hit of ecstasy. Aint that right?" Royce used to rock these hilarious rhinestone bandanas back in the day lol
The rhyming in between words is mind blowing. You can't see it in lyrics but you can hear syllables rhyming with each other in every line. How does he do this mannn
5:38 - 7:36 DAMN! How does he come up with these lyrics? And does he even breathe? 🤣 I always think I've heard them all from Eminem, but then I get to hear some things I never heard before. And they're always better and better. How could he write so much in just a few years?
