The mid-July joint article by approximately a dozen retired USA Military and retired Homeland Security brass also interests me because of a single sentence that certainly looks like it days the USA Military was invited into the 1/6 cup and REFUSED. We have an interesting system in which power is distributed such the agreement of many in official positions is required to initiate an incoming administration. Another question is was it legal fir the National Park Service to abandoned their duty stations on Capitol Hill on 1/6. All that LAND the it happened in is specifically National Park Service Police jurisdiction, NOT Capitol Police law enforcement jurisdiction. Of course, Trump was the boss of the National Park Service Police that day. I suppose a "legal order" would include lower ranks obeying officers in a national emergency even if the president gave no order.
