I filmed that video in Quebec, Canada on a trip. Bunchberries can grow in zones 2-7.

I'm around Niagara, something ate my cornus canadensis to the ground. Got any ideas? Or what to do? I spread some coffee grounds around the bottom hoping for that to stop them, has not been enough time yet to see a difference.

I don’t know what is eating it. A good deterrence for small creatures is, take some natural peppermint soap mix it with water and add some vinegar. Use a spray bottle to spray it on the plants lightly. You should apply the spray after, every time it rains. For large creatures. Fencing it in, will help keep large creatures out.

You can eat the seeds but the seeds are very hard. I recommend spitting the seeds out.
