One thing is for sure: wherever Ted moved, new girls ended up missing and dead. Wherever he had lived before, skeletons and skulls ended up being found in the woods. He left a trail of destruction wherever he went. So scary and sad.

You worded this perfectly! Bundy tried everything he could to keep from going to that special chair! Even Jeffrey Dahmer said he didn't care one way or the other whether he lived or died. I believe Dahmer was truly remorseful after the fact. Bundy only thought about himself because he thought he was untouchable. It makes me sick how he killed all of those young ladies, but states he doesn't want to die! A real bastard (no pun intended).

One night at the bus stop that i was always at same time every night a weird man came up sat down next to me and started small talk ..he went on to say something was wrong with his tire but needed help and it was parked around the corner ...and i was like well ask someone and he said could u and i said no sorry i dont want to miss my bus...he went on to say he would just take the bus as well and he was like u know i see u here every night when i get off work...at that momentni said sir ok please leave me alone..the bus pulled up and he didnt get on!!! The very next night he freaking pulled up to the red light and honked the horn i looked up he offered a ride i declined...ppl were around thank.god..after that i completely changed my routine...i really think he was planning to kidnap me i just got an awful.feeling

It doesn't surprise me, the Seattle cops have been a bumbling force for decades. I grew up here in Seattle, in the University District and I can recall the terror that gripped that neighborhood in the 70s because of this animal.

They didn't have knowledge back then of what a serial killer was like. Ted was good looking and intelligent and educatied. He didn't fit the profile of what a serial killer was like with the knowledge that they had at the time.

Liz did NOT call the police and tell them that her boyfriend was the killer. She just told them his name was Ted and she found some plaster of paris in his medicine cabinet and drove a VW Bug, but nothing ever came out of it and she went ahead and put it out of her mind, stood by him even after he attacked Carol in Utah. She was even mad at the detectives and wanted to spit at them. I read her book. She was a very self conscious young woman with no self esteem and highly usable. She let Ted treat her like sh*t and kept on turning her back on her instinct. The best thing that ever happened to her was Ted Bundy dumped her!
Exactly. There’s was another girl that got away by jumping in the water. None of them came forward and that’s why she’s looked at as the only one that got away.
I think Florida kept him alive as long as they did to study him that's obvious in some of the interviews with investigators. How horrible to imagine the last scared moments of these beautiful girls lives. Then to hear people say Bundy tried to prolong his own life for years. Wouldn't even take responsibility for anything. He is dead now But sadly there will always be another killer. Sick & evil
I don't know about Bundy's situation in particular, but, FYI, prisoners on death-row don't get killed like right away. In fact, they typically spend over a decade on death row before they're finally killed. Bundy's time on death row wasn't exceptionally long, in fact, it was a little shorter than most at ~9 years.
This story does nothing but make me weep for all the women abducted, raped, murdered, and the men who couldn't be there in time to prevent all those deaths from occurring.
Its obvious the police let him escape. How did he keep getting his car back to drive? How was he able to enroll in college with his real name? Wasn't he all over the news? Why didn't people recognize him earlier?
@news...There was no internet in the 70s...information trickled down very slowly .. also y he didnt really need to hide. Ted would not have gotten very far today .if he had used.the same tactic @police they probaly where a lot more incompetent back then.

Ted literally asked to go to prison and die because he was so obsessed with killing that he just said “screw it, I’ll just kill and kill and kill until I get caught”.
My family has been here since 1970 in Provo UT. I asked my aunties about him and one of them said, “It would’ve been bad for him had he tried to get one of us. We don’t play that sh*t.”

Ted Bundy told someone in the law enforcement that one of his victims got away from him by jumping into a river. So, she isnt lying. You are a terrible person to say a victim a liar.
One thing I don't understand about her escape is how was she able to open the passenger door? Bundy had removed the door handle from the inside. There's even a clip on youtube about a woman who Bundy abducted but then let go in 1972. In the interview she mentioned the handle was missing.
I've always wondered why and how Bundy went about choosing Viewmont High to do an abduction. It's not visible from the freeway and is also off away from main Bountiful UT roads. It was also 40 minutes away from where Carol was abducted.

But, if anyone is paying attention:: at 5:32, is Bundy's mistake. he tries to lure DaRonch into the laundromat {while smoothly lying to her that it was a sub-station of a police department}, but, once he realizes that the door "139" to the back of the laundromat was locked, changed his tactic, by saying they'd have to "drive down" to the main police station, to "file a complaint". From my perspective, being a female myself, I would have fled from Bundy as fast as possible, at that point. NEVER get into a VEHICLE with someone you DON'T KNOW!!! ESPECIALLY if they aren't making sense!!!!! DaRonch was lucky, VERY LUCKY, that AFTER SHE GOT INTO THE CAR with him *cringe* he fails to get BOTH handcuffs around her wrists. And, as Bundy's plans were quickly unraveling, DaRonch finally clues into the fact that Bundy was not local (meaning, he didn't even know where the police station was/was lying to her), was NOT an Officer, and did NOT have her BEST INTENTIONS in mind.
I met Ted Bundy in the death row visiting area at the Florida prison where he was executed. I am a 56 year old lady and I remember that Ted would always stare at me. I met Ted in 1981.
She not the only one to get away from Bundy. There was a 13 year old in Florida who also got away when her brother showed up in the nick of time to confront Bundy and stop him from taking his little sister. They tried to follow his stolen van, but he got away.
They must mean she's the only one who got away from being in his car when he was in full kidnap mode. As you said, Leslie Parmenter in Florida was saved when her older brother turned up, so she actually hadn't got in his vehicle. Bundy had to abandon the kidnapping before it really got going. Carol DaRonch actually escaped while the kidnapping was in full progress and he was trying to whack her over the head and put the handcuffs on. A much closer call. 👍
At 7:05, ted explains how to get away with murdering people. He says to deposit the body, body parts and clothes in different counties. Surely that's riskier because the more locations you use, the more likely it will be someone finds the remains. I would have thought it would be best to deposit everything in a different country than the one they came from. I don't see the advantage of depositing the remains in multiple counties
That woman should be charged with not telling authorities about the crime committed. Instead she was too scared of what her Mormon church would say about her taking a ride with a stranger, and how they would treat her after for her whole life.

One other woman survived, Bundy's clutches. She leaped in a river, and taken down by a current, away from Bundy! Yet, she NEVER reported it. Until 30 years later! She needs to shut her fat ugly mouth.
