I love how each episode had its own little plot twist. first episode with Atsushi being the tiger, second episode with everything being a test, third episode with Dazai being an ex mafia :)

Too much exposition and they take dark themes like suicide as if its a joke which breaks immersion cause a suicidal person doesnt act like this

@@gohan2791 Late response, but here I am! Well, you're right, I guess. But you see, Dazai isn't necessarily always joking when he talks about his desire to attempt suicide. He has indeed lost his desire to die in the main series (after he joined the agency) and almost every time he mentions it in present time, it's for comedy purposes. BUT, there's a BSD light novel out there that is set in a parallel world, and there, Dazai actually DOES commit suicide and dies. So, yeah. He was NOT joking this time. I'd recommend reading it, it's a pretty dark and sad story. Its name is "Beast".

@shadi6484 *"Dazai actually DOES Commit Suicide and dies"* Commits suicide and dies? What's the execution like? Is it Dramatic? What *esoteric* Life advices do I learn from his death? What life altering values are at risk due to his death? Honestly I think of many death scenes that are a million times more Dramatic then Daizai... Seriously just ask me...

@@gohan2791 Of course there are many deaths more dramatic than Dazai's out there, I'm not saying the otherwise, either. Even BSD itself has more dramatic death scenes, like Oda's. As for life lessons/advices, I think we can easily learn to value life more. Like, isn't this the main purpose of Dazai's two backstories and his entire character arc? He saw no purpose in living, but in the end, he learned that life was valuable. Like I said, he doesn't actually want to die anymore in the present time, him saying he wants to die is merely for comedy which I don't exactly like either. But at least, Dazai's backstories are all so serious and well-written. His days in Mafia really gives you the feeling that he was dead inside, just being a tool for others. It made sense why he wanted to die so much. As for his death in that light novel, it was actually a sacrifice, so it had a purpose, with good reasons. Not the saddest death ever, but still a beautiful one.
