My Young and very beautiful cousin is a Professional Ballerina and was quite despondent when the show went off the air. She always obtained Validation from the show, and identified with the little blonde girl being blonde herself.
Same here. Any time I stumble any of these videos it's like re-opening an old wound that hasn't completely healed. It was the rare show that was amazing in so many ways and didn't need to be dark or depressing to achieve that greatness. I just loved this show so much and it deserved so much better than ABC Family, which promoted it so poorly. It never had a chance on the network of Pretty Little Liars.
Kinda wish Sutton was sitting in a chair next to Amy at the end, it would've been nice bc it's kinda like the Bunheads intro where in the end the camera pans to her sitting in a chair looking at the girls :,(
+Ji-Hye Han There was a more popular show on the network that went over its budget so they cut some of bunheads funding. They tried to rework the show to fit inside what they were given, but there just wasn't enough money. I recall them taking 3 months to officially cancel the show
Because it was bad. Took half the season to get to what should have been episode 2. It was gilmore girls 2.0. I could go on. If you love it listen to gilmore guys podcast they review the whole show.
I started crying when the girl who played Jinnie did her dance for I think it was "making whoopie" and the girl who played Sasha started doing her "Istanbul" solo Bye. I'm gonna cry eternally now.
This video just goes to show how powerful dance can be. In three minutes the Bunhead dancers had us reliving an entire season. Whether it made you laugh, cry, reminisce or all three, this simple video hit home and displayed more heart and direction than any other TV show on the air.
Never saw the show, but this farewell dance was strong and emotional. The young people here showed sadness but no fear, and they each probably went on being who they are and will always be..... Talented dancers and skilled performers demonstrating an expression of themselves. Together or alone.
Okay I'm a late comer to Bunheads, literally just finished it and knowing that it was going to end didnt make it easier. It is sad to cry over a TV show... but its soooo good. And it was so different to Gilmore Girls. We only had one season :( Amy Sherman-Palladino you are a genuis
Nice last dance for the short lived show on what was formerly ABC Family. Assuming they were not paid to do this - it is a nice little farewell they filmed right after it was canceled and it is much appreciated by this fan. Shows how they actually could dance and act.
I cried a little watching this. Bunheads was such a great show, and these girls and guys are all so talented! Good luck for all your fututure projects!!
I miss this so so so much. Did anyone else catch the Istanbul reference that Julia danced at 2:27? Genius :) Come back Bunheads, and bring all of your lovely actresses/dancers with you!
This was such a good show. It made me laugh. It made me cry. I'm not much into ballet but the dancing was captivating. I fell in love with the characters. It was so well done on every level. I was so sad to hear that it had been cancelled. We need more shows like this instead of all the violence running rampant on so many TV shows. Is there anything that we can do to convince ABC to continue with this?
Just found this show after watching Younger. Such a wonderful show!!!. The dance segments,acting and writing was top notch. I think if this show was on now it would have been a hit. I hope you all have a wonderful future and make your dreams come true.
I miss this show soooo much! It was quirky n cute, funny, sad n so lovely little dance routines each episode, great chemistry with the cast, too... Why why why? With so much crappy shows out there why did this lovely little gem get cancelled so fast!!!???
ugh, i am so upset we aren't getting a season 2. this show had just been finding its footing towards the end of s1 and i had really grown to love it. hopefully we will see all of you talented kids/everyone involved in something soon:) thanks for 1 great season:)
Amy, cast and crew: This show will be missed. You created a wonderful, burgeoning microcosm of shared experience, you brought back the writing voice that, to many of us, rings true of ourselves, and you made sitting on the couch into something much greater than just a mindless waste of time. It's a shame that the industry is a business; one which manipulates most of the public into accepting sub-par entertainment. The rest of us, however, see you for how special you are. Please keep creating.
I am going to miss this show so much! I loved the dancing, and the humor, and the drama, and the dancing, and the singing, and the dancing. I must get the DVDs so I can watch the dances again...there will be a DVD release, I hope. Of course, then I will be sad again that there is no more to the story.
This show was my absolute favorite! I'm really ashamed of how it went down too! The creator, cast, dancers, crew and anyone else involved with this show were the best thing that could've happened on tv. I will miss Bunheads for the rest of my life,
this was a great show! its a crime that it is no longer around. i of course love ASP's writing, but mostly loved having a show that i could watch with my wife and daughter. all the best to you in future endeavors
awww I love this show......I wish everyone the best of everything with their future. I loved all of the characters and the dialog was brilliant. I loved watching the dancing and the story line was interesting. Thanks for the good times.
...such a good show. Just enjoyed your first season on Netflix... watching with my wife. Our daughter danced. We were totally embraced by the experience. This represented well the creators and dancers and the fans of good theater and production. Bravo. Sad too see you have ended. good luck in all u do.
I absolutely love Bunheads. And, no, I'm not a teenager--I'm 50+. It's sad that such a unique, charming, and interesting show isn't given its fair chance to win viewers and ratings. Well, thanks for the lovely farewell dance. At least it's something...
I watched the whole season of Bunheads for the first time this pass week and I'm not much into dancing but this show was well put together acting ,presentation,storyline, real life family drama that anyone can relate too and it dose not lack in any department WHY was this show canceled in the first season? Dose anyone know why it was giving the Axe? I have seen other shows that was shit and keeps going on seasons after seasons.I stopped watching them after 4th episode of the first season, so this escapes me why this show was caned.
It's all a numbers game (ratings) and people preferred watching Pretty Little Liars and all the other crap that's on ABC Family over this quality show. It's sad! The writing on this show was BRILLIANT!

Why does this hurt so much more in Sept 2015 than when I first saw it?! I'll be crying for a week. The world needs more Amy Sherman-Palladino on tv. And these dancers are just amazing. Glad most of them are doing well on other projects.
Watching this makes me so sad I love this show it was a good show it had everything sarcasms, good dialogo that doesn't come easy, great acting, a flow a good flow like one you get hook on and best of all the art in it the music the dancing with passion just love it if it wasn't a cliche show like pll I know its it good but still getting kind of cliche nothing new about it but this show this one man it was amazing truly amazing
So, so sad... I was waiting for the next season... Amy, we love your shows. Thankyou for sharing your amazing imagination, brilliant writing and intelligent stories, but most of all your heart trough this characters. We are gonna miss all the girls... I'm gonna miss Michelle so much :( This world is sinking... everyday there is more crap on tv, this should have gone at least 4 seasons...

Look I'm not a girl, I'm a guy saying this was one of the best shows that's been aired in a long time. Where I live you can't get TV without cable. I bought cable just to see this show. Now it is gone so is my cable why bother when nothing any count is on and when they do put something on worth watching they kill it. Needless to say I'm not a kid either I'm 50 and the guys running these things don't know their head from a hole in the ground.
