It is the funniest line in television’s history. It’s even funnier when you hear the Chinese guy say “Engliss” in the prior scene, which might get forgotten when you actually see this scene an episode later.
@@k33p1tc00l Word, I grew up in Baltimore as a kid so when I had heard of this show that took place there that was like Sopranos mixed with something like NYPD Blue, I was READY.
@@k33p1tc00l Uhh….I don’t think so. I lived in the area known as “Gardenville” and went to the elementary school there, which I THINK was by an adjacent district called Hamilton cuz I then ended up going to a middle school named Hamilton Middle. We also used to regularly go to this little newsstand near (where my dad would grab a paper and Keno tickets and I would buy comics and/or gaming magazines) there called Hamilton News Mart. Finally, in the fifth or sixth episode of the first season, when McNulty and Greggs go to confront Omar and his boy for the first time in that cemetery? I can’t tell FOR SURE but I believe that’s the neighborhood I grew up in just to the left OFF-SCREEN before they make the right turn into the cemetery.
If jurisdiction was an issue, why didn't they call Philly PD or whatever port authority they have there to hold the ship? Did Rawls just send his two detectives on a goose chase and then blame them for NOT acting outside of their authority? Or did Bunk and Lester just drive over there with no plan of action?
They fucked up. Bill was being reasonable and fair. They took a desicion without consulting the commanding Officer and at that time that looked like the single piece of evidence they had.
I was just sending this to you on Steam because I thought you’d think it’s funny even if you haven’t seen the show. You should watch this show by the way it’s my favorite ever, it beat Sopranos.
Wasn't that cop ("Bunk") a real-life character ? ... from the Baltimore PD ?... That's based on some characters that (factually) lived (or so I heard!). "Avon" was an amateur Boxer, when young who - later in life - became quite big in this sh**y "game" as they call it here... Pity! I heard Baltimore was a pretty, "buzzing" city in the 60's & 70's. From the late 70's onwards it got flooded with smack first and crack in the 80's and it literally DESTROYED many communities in that town (and not just "Black" neighbourhoods). When it explodes - it always explodes big, and drug addiction doesn't discriminate on skin-colour. Some cities like NYC - twelve - twenty times as big - with economies that are FIFTY TIMES as big, may survive, but smaller cities... have much more problems, if they are not helped.
