I created this video because I couldn't find a video explaining how to change the Thermal Fuse in my Bunn Coffee Maker and the instructions I received with the part were very vague. It's my first video ever so please don't judge me harshly, I'm just trying to help. Thanks!

This was extremely helpful, better lighting would have helped. When squeezing the stripped wire to the new piece USE VISE GRIPS. Regular pliers won't work

What if the rubber tubing that is under the metal fitting does not slide out? The metal fitting is clamped so tight (and soldered down), the tubing won't slide out? Can I cut the metal fitting? Would I need to resolder it back down? Help! I have the new fuse and can't get to the old one to replace it!!! Please give me some advice.

Just curious when the thermal fuse goes does the coffee maker lose all power. Water doesn't heat and burner plate light won't light.

Yes, that's correct the water doesn't heat and the warmer plate doesn't work. No light on the front switch

Kay Murphy thanks. My Bunn is a little different so will need to figure out how to get to thermal fuse.

did the light stop working also on yours? and the heating pad wasn't getting hot?

Yes, the light stops working as well.

Kay Murphy Thanks, yeah the thermal fuse went bad on mine as well, my voltage meter came up missing some how. so I couldn't check for continuity so I wrapped a piece of aluminum foil around it and the warmer light came on to confirm that's what it was. so I ordered a new one $10 on ebay cheaper then a new one lol.
