That's what we need more bunny jumping competitions around the world 🌍 I miss my old French lop bunny rabbits both Gracie and Gabriella and my Harley Quinn rabbits We need more bunny educational videos to help educate the public about owning pet rabbits Shalom 🕊️ of ✌️
my rabbit hated get picked up cuz she just wanted to jump. They get kinda like horses. Some get super "hot" and excited and pumped up. Those are the rabbits most often bred because they usually make the best jumpers.
My Lion Mane rabbit, Delilah prefers to sit and be cute...but she's amazing nonetheless...She broke out of her first cage...twice...now we have a full hutch for her...she hasn't got out once!
Yeah but not as many. I think it's pretty hard to find competitions in the US unfortunately. But you can start your own club and have competitions and invite others!
I thought Lops weren't allowed to compete in these because of their ears? Jag trodde at kaniner med öronen nere (vet inte vald det heter i svenska) far göra dem har ?
They are actually the most commonly used breed for this! Or, cross-breeds with lop are the most common. All rabbits are allowed to compete but if the judge thinks that one rabbit can get hurt from competing, the rabbit is not allowed to compete. So if a lop has very long ears so it might trip over itself it might not be allowed to compete :o
Brianna Jouannet yeh cuz the rabbit defenitely looks scared...? i mean come on he's eating an apple. He's having the time of his life, loving all the attention.
you're right, this rabbit doesn't look upset but people who watch this may get the wrong idea about it, i wasn't trying to seem rude or anything. For most bunnies being held like that makes them freeze up because they think a predator has them, it can really scare them. But you're right in saying this bun looks ok.
yeah unfortunately we cannot point things like that out all the time in the video :( People will just have to be responsible and know their own rabbits limitations. We handle all our rabbits differently depending on what they like and what they can take. Hopefully people who have their own rabbits can tell the difference between a stressed rabbit and one that is fine.
@@lisagren of course he looks fine, because they naturally submit when they are on their backs. Just because they aren't struggling doesn't mean they aren't frightened. They're not like cats or dogs, they are prey animals so the psychology is completely different.
@@rhythmandblues_alibi i just read my first answer that i posted 3 years ago and it is so rude lol. But no, I have to disagree. If you notice the rabbit having a raised heart rate after you have held the bunny like this, then it had entered freeze mode/play dead, and upon getting out of the position, the adrenaline kicks in and the rabbit entered flee mode. That is very stressful for the rabbit. But if your rabbit does not have a stress respons when you turn them over, then they did not enter freeze mode.
Holland Lop, Havana Brown, English Lop, Belgian Hare, Rex, English Spot, Dutch. I don't see any Himalayans or any Chinchillas or Havanas or French Lops or Angoras. Maybe a young brown Flemish Giant? One lop-straight ear mix. Has one floppy ear and one straight ear. Mostly bigger breeds. Not the little ones.
because the owner was holding the rabbit, and then her friend was eating an apple and just put the apple in front of the bunny to see if it wanted some, and it did, so it ate it.
when they do that long hop you can just see that they have so much more hop in them. They just expend the amount of energy required to clear it. That's only about power level 6.
