the fact that in one of the stage one episodes, KEIICHI TSUCHIYA HIMSELF called up bunta and said his drifting scared him. this man is the most underrated character in ALL of initial d. mans could become tsuchiya no.2 if he wanted lolol
I don't get how the old one is better. Funnier maybe. Pretty much the only reason I decided to read the manga was because of how digustingly ugly the cars are. This is alot better
In my opinion, the dubbing in the old one is better. Yes, like what Edward Larsen said, the animation is much better than the old one, but good anime doesn't only depend on the animation... It's just, the "feel", somehow I didn't get it in the new one
Anyway, now I get it.. it's the animation (maybe the drawing?) of the character... it's a lot funnier and not so serious, although the new one got the car better (not to blame the time when the original was made)
Some say, he can drift a corner without the use of his arms..... And that the last time he opened his eyes, he broke 86 world records..... All we know is he's not the Stig, because he's Fujiwara Bunta.
@@niycaionicx.7855 I think they are fans of the anime. When Jermey was with his old show in Japan he loved the Nissan GT-R from the 90s and interviewed the drift king. On Top Gear Series 10 Back on the Rocks by NRG Man was playing when they reviewed the Nissan GT-R. And In Series 11 when the trio raced across Japan, Clarkson was quoting Back on the Rocks.
If you look past your scratched up nostalgia glasses you realize the old one only shows the 86 a couple of times in very short blurred out shots. This version actually shows how long he drifted without using his hands and how close he got to the guard rail.
Code X Gaming The animation quality is better in this. The old one was 90s CGI. Technology has improved. You're just too insecure to admit that which is why instead of giving any real arguments you're lashing out.
I like the old one much better... I don't like the Legends style because it tries too hard to be unique or realistic, I don't know which. The faces (the eyes specially) and the fact that everyone (even Bunta here) looks so ripped like they just got back from gym, lol... As for the car scenes, I don't like the black lines appearing everywhere in every frame, and maybe this is just me but it kinda looks 20 fps-ish, lol. EDIT: Dem glowy eyes, lol.
As cool as the old one is I think this one is better because the corner he drifted in the original was so short, and the scene so long, the road should have looped in on itself lol.
In Initial D there's lots of corners that should've over-looped themselves a few times. For example during the "floating pass" vs Miata. The new movies kind of don't do that.
The perfect weight shift. I did this once in Gran Turismo 3 with the Shigeno Trueno on the first corner of Deep Forest. I did a braking drift entry, let go of the steering and just floored it and rounded it perfectly. Too bad the corner wasn't long enough for me to light one up during the moment 😆
Using the 4 wheel drift concept along with the inertial drift in a gravel race, let me know what you think 🥂 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Go1HHt_w220.html
They replicated this scene well. If there is something that I without second thought preferred in the original, that is the voice actor for Bunta. This one sounds too soft and doesn't fit as good with the character.
Sadly, Bunta's original seiyuu has passed away some years ago. He voiced old man Kamogawa from Hajime no Ippo too and if I'm not mistaken Igor from Persona 3 and 4 (games not the anime)
Imagine if a prequel series was made for an exclusive edition of Initial D DVD's called: Initial D: Before or Initial D: Stage 0, something like that. It'd be so cool seeing Bunta in his teenage years drifting. Maybe we'll see him with his eyes open.
Back in the days where there is Legendary "God of Feet" and "One hand God".. Then there is one man light smoke during Inertia drift at the Mountain Pass with AE86.... 1986 chronicle
But the Eurobeat was playing it's legit the same one used in the original scene. Though it is extended a little. (Forgot to add that) If they used the original recorded lines it would have been better
It's more towards manga-like. very reminiscent to all the Arcade Stage style of drawing/graphics. I don't mind it. but yeah..kinda wish they stick to the 4th, 5th, final stage. Lets hope they do remaster from Stage 1 to 3, and include more detailed story, since anime tend to skip various parts of the story. Off-topic: Who's hyped for the 2 new Sword Art Online that's coming. :D Finally doing Alicization and Spin-off Gun Gale Online(SAO without kirito)
Never let Bunta smoke, otherwise you might lose it while he gets serious. Its like never let Ip Man rolling up his sleeves or Bruce Lee licking his own blood.
YUICHI: HEY! YOU IDIOT BUNTA WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!! BUNTA: I WANT TI SMOKE YUICHI: STOP IT! YUICHI: HOW CAN YOU NOT LOOK AT THE ROAT? NO!!! BUNTA: WELL NOT BAD BUNTA: OKAY I'M GOING TO GO MORE SERIOUSLY NOW!
Bro this rlly showed how good bunta was Compared to takumi's drift in the legends series the way bunta cleared the corner was basically 2x faster Plus he did it no hando dorifto
Just found out the Japanese voice actor for bunta passed away today from cancer. Didnt know he also voiced professor oak. So fucking down about this loss.
dam I would pay to see extra/mini/additional episode or two when Bunta decides to race against some decent drivers and see people at side of the road and Takahashi brothers reaction or at least rematch between ae86 vs FD3S
I've done this once in Gran Turismo 3 with my bro's Shigeno Trueno on Deep Forest Raceway, set it into a drift and just gunned it with no steering input 😎. Was never able to replicate it 😅
