This happens often. Some states will ship them out on planes or boats or buses to Los Angeles because we’re very lenient on homelessness. Hawaii, Texas, and Florida are a few examples.
Then Do SOMETHING! it is more irresponsible that all cities are doing nothing but feeding the homelessness cottage industry. How much more do we taxpayers have to keep paying?
@@Acdc5 : How is, picking up a naked man...getting him clothes, taking him to the hospital to have him checked out, he DIDN'T have an injury after all. And they dropped him off where he ASKED to be dropped off. Then he stoops to the ground as they drive off. Yeah, such an abuse of power by the police. It's people who are in gov't all their, and OUR lives, who abuse BILLIONS of dollars, that don't go to reopening large hospital facilities dotted around the county to treat the sick. It took the man right on Kerkorian's doorstep for action to be taken for ONE man. What about the other 50,000 homeless people?
What does sanctuary cities have to do with the Federal Government closing all State run mental Hospitals under the Reagan administration. The problem, there are people making comments with no clue on what got us here.
@@Acdc5 I I know EXACTLY what happened. Reagan hasn't been governor since before these thousands of homeless were even born. It's a confluence of Repubs back then, and their stupid idea of saving money on state institutions. And "activists' like the ACLU making sure that Dems controlled the state for the last 35 years, advocating that a person shouldn't be kept institutionalized so they can maintain their personal freedoms. So put the blame where it belongs. Reps, initially, but now...the people in complete control of CA are to blame. The people who have taken BILLIONS and wasted it on useless, expensive schemes with NO oversight whatsoever. And more homeless than ever. How many bonds were put on the ballot for this? Well? (This is the state that's burdened with not just other state's dysfunctional, but the entire WORLD too.) That's what sanctuary cities have to do with it. With NO accounting for who, and how many...and how much it's costing. And now there aren't the resources, because the infrastructure has collapsed under the weight.
Our mayor did this when the president was here. Don’t criticize the police if policy was in place they wouldn’t do it . If crime is committed by homeless courts don’t punish them , so what are the police to do . Our politicians need to have them dumped at their doorstep thats what they do to us . I worked at the old IKEA in Burbank, it was almost open conversation that violent homeless people got a free ride into North Glendale, like at Glendale Memorial Hospital. Crazy, but true, I worked at that same hospital. I worked close with law enforcement at both facilities but not security.
Yes the land of milk and honey, the sanctuary city where everyone is welcome. Why is this big deal compared to the tens of thousands that are already dumped on the taxpayers of los angeles. Well councilman, instead of whining like a little girl, DO something with our increasing tax dollars instead of a weekly clean up service and pocketing the money. Other cities in the area have been doing this for years, and for good reason. YOU have the money and Indian Chief's and non-purposeful jobs. Good for Burbank.
this is a pretty one sided story really it is the guy may have ASKED them for a ride to Los Angeles and TOLD them to drop him at that specific address even and I dont think its fair at all to the city of Burbank to be making them look like bad guys - now if they'd took him out in the middle of NOWHERE and dumped him that would be different but come on REALLY compared to what they could have done with this guy I'd say what they DID do was pretty humane. The guys able to stand and walk as far as I can tell. I really dont think this is a fair story at all. If nothing else they make Paul Krekorian look like either a liar or just misinformed because when the guy steps out of the car he's not in cuffs at all thats why I say it really looks to me like they were doing this guy a courtesy by giving him a ride to LA (which THAT in itself would maybe get them chewed out by their chief but I DONT KNOW because I DONT honestly know ANYBODY on the Byrbank PD)

Well, if Krekorian is Upset, Have the Officers look up his address and he can have the Three over for Dinner..if the officers have a problem finding his Address, it's Public Record

I wouldnt be surprised if one day homeless file a massive class action lawsuit against cities for having law enforcement doing these illegal detainments and drop offs
