My fellow Automotive Fanatics who own the Mini Cooper, today’s product review and DIY will encompass the process of adding on the tried and trued Burger Motorsports (BMS) JB+ piggyback.
This plug-in module was used on a 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman S with the N18 turbo charged engine. However, BMS makes the JB4 (the best, most powerful plug-in modules) for the B38/B46/B48/B58 engines as well.
Why use the JB+ and not an ECU tune?
- lower cost
- retains factory warranty
- easily removable and reversible
On a scale of difficulty, I would rate this project a 1 out of 10 and will literally take you 5mins to install or uninstall. It’s simply that easy!
