reminds me of the time i spent living on the street. no money, no house, no friends. But I had my fucking ipod with this on it, just constantly pumping burial tunes 24/7. this one always stuck with me, it expressed the desparation i was feeling perfectly during this time. glad it's all now over tho
[purple winter] pubs, trains, cafes, banks that have waiting areas, charity shops, some cities have mains sockets outside, bookmakers ( also good for toilets and free tea and coffee) , churches.. the list goes on and if you can't think of any places to charge something then you should get off RU-vid and work on being more resourceful
"The track on the LP called ‘Pirates’ is the one I always wanted to make. Fithy, dirty tune." - Burial Taken from a 2006 interview with Blackdown, a dubstep website. Check the rest out if you're interested in the guy. There's 4 or 5 interviews out there by different websites which go deep into Burial's reasons for making this music. Really interesting stuff.
My evenings are often made of a spliff, good tea, something to bite on, comfy sofa and burial. But I always skip this track. It's too dark even for me. I feel like Im lost without hope during this track. So it's the only one I kinda truly dislike.
