Burley has been in the trailer business forever and they are an experienced company who knows how to design a very safe and functional 2 kid trailer. The D’Lite is super light with the best harness system we have used to date. The storage is very useful and the handle doubles as a roll bar. Burley has designed the D’Lite to be incredibly intuitive and there is nothing on the trailer that is not entirely functional. We love the ability to tow it with our fatbike in the winter and it's light weight is a bonus when it comes time to chuck it in the trunk after a long day of pulling the rug rats. Stroller, Jogger, Trailer or Sled- this machine rocks!

Carlos Rolando Fernandez Pulido Thanks Carlos! Hard call between the Burley and Hamax, they are both awesome trailers. The Burley is lighter and the strap system is awesome but the Hamax is easier to get in and out of the car. Both are really good trailers and we really enjoyed both of them

@@TheBikeDads thanks for the reply guys. Just one more question, is the hamax really that heavy to carry around or up hills? Lots of reviews out there say that it is really heavy, and that could be a good reason to not get it. I bike around a lot and my wife is strong too. I just want to know this from your perspective since in the hamax video you were climbing hills (with and without snow)

I pulled a trailer with two kids and gear and didn’t really notice the Hamax being heavy. Picking them up with my hands side my side I notice the weight. I didn’t notice it on the bike. If you only use it for cycling go for the Burley. The Hamax’s ability to go from stroller to bike trailer to runner is another huge plus.

J Dizzle yes it can be hooked up to a full suspension bike as it attached to the rear axle. I had it attached to a Santacruz Hightower and Giant Trance no problem at all. The updated version of this trailer is incredible

Hello, I heard the burley doesn’t recline as much as the Thule chariot cross. In your opinion, do you wish that the burley reclined a little more? Is that an important piece to consider having had the burley for some time now? Also, I heard that the burley is off set to the left of the bike a little. Do you find this to be true? And if so, has that impacted the way you ride having to compensate for the trailer? Thank you!

Peter Oh- Great questions. There is a new updated Burley DLite and the seat reclines much more and on a bar/ push button system and it works really well. The Burley hitch arm does track the trailer a little to the left. I do like it as it is easier to gage as it tracks similar to the end of my handlebar so less guessing when you get into tight spaces. As a family with two kids, why go double rather than two singles. (Other than price)...honestly, we only have one kid on the way but are trying to plan for a second. Spreading out the future weight seems ideal but would love your thoughts. Two trailers vs. one.

Double is more room but wider on the trail. The extra room is nice for extra stuff too. I always overpack

I'm between this trailer and the weehoo have the copilot currently and it's like towing an anchor

Joe Phares the D’Lite is certainly not an anchor. Tough call. If you ride predominantly Singletrack the Width of the double Weehoo is hard to beat but I wouldn’t call them light.
