Where did you find this bike in BC? Also at what weight do you think kids need the suspension? My daughter is 3.5 and still under 30lbs but loves shredding trails. Thanks!
I have a 22 model levo alloy and being in my mid 50s was a good entry level model as I hadn't ridden a push bike since my teens as I had always had dirt motorbikes. Its great to see if you want to continue riding emtb and later step up to better models of give it away. For me I'm happy just to be out there now with this and not pushing to 11/10ths of risk anymore 😂
Hi, currently torn on the Prevelo Zulu 3 and the Giant STP 20 for our soon to be 6 year old. Of course the price point of the Prevelo is slightly higher (about £100 GPB difference with various deals in the UK) - Wondered what your thoughts were as a comparison?
What's the difference when you go up the models? I've ordered a turbo levo alloy I'm waiting on but I was curious on what the main differences are as you go up the range
Our TC fork lockout stopped working and now leaking a little oil out of the bottom on the rebound knob. Do you think a rebuild will solve this or indicative of a much bigger issue?
What size chainring did you do? I'm assuming a boost bike, so did you stay with 6mm offset with the trailcraft cranks or move to a 3mm offset chainring?
@@jeffkashat4625 try bribing them? Here are some tips to help him learn. You can try to put it on a bike trainer? You need to be able to balance a bike more than pedal a bike to learn how to ride. thebikedads.com/new-bike-dads/
I just racked up 4500 miles on my bike. Then I had to rebuild the motor, replaced all the bearings in my rear hub, installed a new cassette, new chain, new front chain ring, new tires, new valve stem. Back on the road $1600 later! And before that I upgraded my suspension to coil front and back and built my own wheels and upgraded my brake rotors. The bike is an absolute blast but if you ride them hard they are effing money pits!
Ive had my base Alloy Levo for 2 years. Love the bike and it's holding up well. Just upgraded the Crankring to 38T and I haven't really changed anything. It handles my super heavy weight well to. I did go through my first rear rim recently.
i was out walking recently and seen 2 levos i couldnt beleive how loud and shit the motors sounded, they werent the cheap models neither very recent carbon models
@@Emtbwebb only going off what i seen and heard not hating theyre a good looking bike, and as for dont hate if you dont own one that just sounds like a child whos through his toys out the pram 😏
I think a lot of people would like to see an updated video on this same topic now that more manufacturers have entered into the kids full suspension bike market.
@@TheBikeDads link please? My super aggressive 2.5 year old rider is starting to outgrown his Cleary Gecko but is nowhere near big enough for their 16" bike so I'm trying to decide on a 14" for him
@@TheBikeDads thank you! The 2 bikes I've been stuck between are both on there but looking through everything I really think the Zulu is going to be the best fit for how my little guy rides!!!!
I've just got a shotgun and it is not good at all. I've got an XXL frame and I can put the kid seat too near to the front. So during small (15°) turn the bar is hitting the 3 yo kids knee which makes this not work. In this video the top and bottom tube angle is small and those are close to each other. Take this in consideration before trying this seat. Maybe I could sell it in marketplace. :(
About to pick up a comp alloy. I’m torn between the s3 and s4 I’m 5’ 8” 1/2 on the specialized page I’m kinda in between also I’m seeing people talk about being in between and they recommend going smaller! I’m in north Mississippi so terrain is probably below average for what the bike could handle thoughts s3 vs s4??
Rented one of these last year for my daughter and brake reach was also an issue. Killed confidence and caused fatigue. Adjustable levers are the way to go.
Yes.There is a 2 part video on RU-vid of a guy adding travel. So removing would be a similar procedure drilling a new hole in the air spring - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0lLHHTTIBoc.htmlsi=zC_Nw0FkfzrjFRjq
Hey bro . I’m 5’7” smaller dude . I used a lowering strap on my motorcycle even . I’m looking at the Comp version . I was thinking the S2 frame but it’s out of stock for both bikes I was into .. think S3 would be too big?
Hi, Woom is spoken like Vroom in German. The Austrian Dad, that designed the bike for his son, said that his son was always saying Vroom, when riding his bike or running around somewhere. Our twins are turning 3 this year and we'd like to get them the Woom 2. Looks like your little shredder really loved his Woom 2 bike. What's he riding today (March 2024)?
I have a 2023 carbonfiber smoke grey..bought it discount price.love the bike .need better forks and shocks. Never can get spare parts.. waited2 months for rear cases it broke.seat down lever broke. Been 1 month it still hasn't come in..I've had to resort to ordering online after market parts .so that probably does Away with warranty. I'll see...when it works I love mine..I'd been sick if I paid 10 for one but am sad I didn't upgrade For better suspension front and back. Is what it is..I'll work it out
I’m looking to convert my Daughters 16” Specialized bike from a coaster.. to disk brakes or pinch style.. any recommendations on brand.. or of levers for a small hand(4 year old)
The price ok, the components are really basic. Brakes terrible, front fork and rear shock only for trails, rear dreaullier SRAM sx and cassette SRAM NX will last no more than 6 months if you ride regularly
Your kid rides better than most the adults I know. Looking to buy a used polygon so I'm looking into reviews on different models and ran into yours. Thank you for the informative review
