I watched this video and thought it was amazing. Then I saw it was 3 years old and got all excited about the 3 years of videos I would have available to watch so I subscribed. But Im let down by only a few vids....... Make more plz they are great.
I am looking at this trailer or the single wheel with suspension, but not sure which is more suitable for me. I look forward to your fully loaded camping trip video and assessment. Thank you.
Superb trailer 😁 When I got mine I kept looking back to see if it was still there ,haha don't feel it . I use a fat Tire ebike and will get the 3 in fat Tire for the trailer ,bit price but worth it . Good review👍👍
Looks so useful! Did you need any adaptor for the hitch? I have a juiced rip current s, which has a huge bolted axel, so I wonder how the hitch would work.
I wonder why we don't get the safety strap with it, the one that goes around the bike frame as well. I've seen some reviews of the burley thru axle heads breaking, and that is scary because the steel hitch will come off with it. I guess I will find something to secure it myself
That was an excellent video demonstration of the trailer in actual use. It seems to be very sturdy and smooth rolling but how do you keep your load secure with only two sides on the trailer body?
If you strap the load down, the pressure and weight of the bags will keep them in place quite securely. If you are really worried you could always put rope, or some netting across the front/back. Burley leaves it open to give us more options on load length and size.
There are bigger and cheaper trailers that are excellent for carrying cargo. I have a Duramaxx Mountee and I can carry a wide variety of cargo from a full sized lawnmower to whatever you want with the front and back canvas sections either up or down. But the trailer itself would be considerably heavier at 13kg.
Hello in Finland :) I can help you with a shop in Denmark and right now it's on SALE I can se :) www.cykelgear.dk/tilbehor/anhaenger/burley-load-trailer-sider
No not yet. I have 2 extra tubes, but they are still brand new after almost 800 km :) I have a new video here... Freezing cold day.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-94aRa0QDoik.html
Does this effect your bike riding characteristics? Does your bike move a little from side to side because of the trailer? Can you still pedal standing up.
Hi Shahid I love the trailer and I can stil pedal standing up. When i'm on tour I can not feel the trailer .... It's right behind the bike and steady...
does this work on every type of bike including ebikes with rear hub motors? how would you secure tools or something in it like a shovel or what not if doing yard work? nice video. thank you.
Hey Peter You can use the trailer to any type of bike. The "towbar" is placed on the fixpoints to the axel. There will soon be at video with how to pack and secure equitment on the trailer.
Have been eyeballing this trailer for a while and you just convinced me to buy it and I can't wait to receive it. My only concern is the nylon bottom. Do you think it's strong enough to last or would it be better if I made a solid bottom for it? I think I would be putting on about 80lb max.
If you are packing up with soft stuff (tent, sleepingbag aand bags etc. . The bottom will be fine for a long time. Do you have to pack op with f.eks. a wood box with hard edges... The i will prefere to put somthing between tha pack and the bottom.
@@karstenp.7971 the material is quite strong . I put a large tote on it and fill it groceries and a Bungie cord works great .I recommend this trailer 👍
Normal I put a pice of plastik arround. Place the plastik at the floor of the trailer first. Then put my luggage on that trailer and pack the plastisk arround so it will be watherproof.
Can you lay the bike on its side with the trailer attached? I'm doing a bike tour and have a loaded setup on the bike itself. I'd hate to have to take this off everytime I stop lol but ehh.. may just have to get over that.. I have a pet trailer that has a spring that allows me to lay the bike down, but this one is super big and heavy, so I need to downsize.
