It was great to see a biig offensive game. Hopefully we can start piling those up. I wasn't worried about Hicks giving us the Flaherty treatment. I knew Jack was going to give us the business, but I knew we could knock Hicks around. Even in his good starts, despite the good ERA, he's still shaky if you watch. That said, I still wish like hell we would have kept him. Glad you were able to spend a night in Evansville with your family. I'm quite familiar with that town.

The bar is so low in the National League that everyone thinks they can make the playoffs. The problem is those last couple of teams in are going to get their clocks cleaned. There is too much separation between the top teams and 5 or 6, so that just get in and make a run thinking isn't going to work. We would have to have a aggressive and competent GM. That isn't Mo.

I knew Burly could hit from the first time i saw him. It is disturbing that the Cardinals were ready to demote or discard him. He looks like the replacement for Goldschmidt. Mozaliak has missed the opportunity to take Goldschmidt and Arenado to the World Series. Its not their fault, but the window is closing on them going with the Cardinals. I think we can trade them and still not be sellers, the Dodgers are desperate for a third baseman and have tons of pitching. The Yankees are in need of a first baseman and have a couple pitching prospects ready for the majors like Clayton Beeter. This gives Goldy and Arenado a shot a the World Series and gives us a boatload of pitching. We can still field many combinations like, Gorman at third, Winn at ss, Donovan and Edman at 2nd and super sub, Burly at first. It could work out for Goldy, Arenado and make the team better, cheaper, younger. You have Suggesse and Prieto ready as well. Pick your best outfield. They would say we are sellers, but I think we would win more

Similar to how Giddey was the key to the future for OKC, I can not wait for this team to get off Goldy and Arenado. Burly 1b, walker potentially 3b if he becomes better.
