Burn Fat and Build Athletic Muscle at Home - athleanx.com/x/home-workout
If you want to burn chest fat in order to get rid of a flabby chest, you are going to have to address this problem two ways. First, you must be willing to get your nutrition in order. You simply cannot eat poorly and maintain high body fat levels because of this and hope to ever get rid of your fat chest. Once you have, then all the focus needs to turn towards your training.
In this video, I show you a chest exercise combo that you can do in the privacy of your own home to help you burn fat and build a bigger chest. The power of this combination exercise lies in the fact that it can be used to overload your pec muscles while helping you to burn fat as a powerful conditioning exercise.
I show you both beginner and advanced versions of this. First, let’s cover the more difficult of the two. To perform this chest and fat burning exercise, set up two benches if you are training at a gym or two boxes if you are working out at home. Get into a push up position between the boxes and perform an explosive plyo pushup while touching both benches with your hands at the top. Land back on the ground and come up to your feet by reversing the burpee position.
From here, immediately jump laterally over the bench to your right and drop down into a pushup plank position again. Here you will perform a Hannibal pushup by quickly touching your toes as you hop out of another explosive pushup. Jump back to your feet and leap back to the middle to once again do the taps version of the exercise. Hop the bench on the other side and do the Hannibal pushups again and continue until your chest is either too fatigued to continue or your lungs are burning because of your conditioning.
The beginner version of this bodyweight exercise to burn chest fat at home is very similar except that you will perform the first exercise from your knees. The perimeter chest exercise is to simply pulse at the bottom of the pushup for 3 reps and then hop back to your feet. Do not try to jump over the bench or box but rather perform a box jump to the top and then simply jump down.
Bodyweight exercises for your chest should consist of more than just pushups. If you are going to do a bodyweight exercise to build your chest then you better make sure that it is causing overload. Far too many home chest workouts fall short in delivering results because they consist of exercises that are just too easy.

It is kind like re-inventing the wheel, isn't it? Probably upping the weight, or a greater variety in whatever press exercises you do is probably more realistic. Also a chicken an egg thing. Gotta be in great condition to do that exercise, but if you are in great condition, then no man-boobs and no reason to do such an intense workout.

To the people who say this workout is too hard... it's supposed to hard to the point of exhaustion. Getting your heart rate over the roof very quickly and then bringing it down quickly with rest, you're doing a form of HIIT training. Which is the best fat burning exercises out there. It doesn't matter if you can't complete the beginners exercise, it's about trying your hardest even if you can only get over the first bench. As long as your getting that higher heart rate and bringing it down constantly and then back up quickly again.

i know am late, but just do regular knee push-ups. if you cant, do wall push-ups. it will create the same overload because you feel fatigued . just keep at it

All you gotta do is train regularly......even if it's a few half push ups...light jog around the room.....half push ups.... Do it 3 times a week. Vary your exercises, do to the best of your ability, you will see results!!! Cause results depend on the effort given. The first weeks or months l saw results by lifting 20lb weights a few times. NOW? That doesnt do it, l need a lot more, varied exercises etc... Just do according to your ability, and do it regularly.

Great video, Jeff! I just started getting into complexes and I've been loving them, was starting to wonder if there was something similar for chest only. I gotta ask if there are any more complexes you could show, also, what kind of exercises should I do if I want to develop tight pelvic floor muscles? After 1 plyo jump I couldn't catch myself. So I lay here on the floor like a turtle rolled on its shell and I can't get up. I think I'm just going to lay here for awhile as I regain strength in my fat body. I will just order pizza while I wait. Oh well I tried. 😒

this is basically increasing the intensity and difficulty of a pushup, in order to increase your metabolic rate, and to break down the chest tissue faster. the point he made in this video is to burn fat by doing calastenics and bodyweight chest work, the combo will yield better results for beginners.

I was very fat back then but I lose all those fat just by eating rice porridge in 1 year without other ingredients just water and rice because I became very poor at the time but after 1 year somethings good happen to me that I am rich again (yeheey!!) but looking to my self I lose tons of weight so I decided to workout and now I have a healthy normal body now

Hi Jeff, While doing body weight exercises, i find that my strength and endurance improves very quickly. This makes it so that it can take up to 100 reps to reach muscle fatigue, on a single set. This, in turn, increases the time of my workouts to well over an hour (forcing me to have to cut it short sometimes). Is there something else I can do, or is it time I get a weighted vest?

Or just fuck it, eat a little less calories, do regular push ups and be patient. I once did do reduction and it was hell. Now I don't care as much about macros, I don't eat less calories, don't eat more than I need daily and wow, I'm burning fat and building muscle. Although I'm aware that it won't stay long, it's still cool as fuck. No pressure, no stress, just working out and eating more or less of what you need.

I love this dude.hes probably one of the smartest trainers on here.down fall though,talks to much.wish he would do a what to do how much to do and what exercises to do per workout.but amazing trainer

Great content, thanks for the video! I drive a semi and am gone (sleeping on the curb outside a shipper 2 nights a week, truck stops 2 nights a week and home terminal 1), so it's hard to figure out time/ways to workout, but stuff like this video helps tremendously! Diet is the biggest challenge out here! Also, that's a damn fine-looking gym!

I have two severely damaged elbows from accidents, the left radial head elbow was shattered and never replaced, no spacer no anything. My right elbow and forearm was completely shattered, titanium replacement ball joint, 2 forearm plates and 15 screws. I can do some knee push ups , some barbell presses, and dumbell exercises, yoga and elastic bands, jump rope But anyu arm iusage is very limited due to pain and lack of rotation.. But no bar dips, pull-ups or straight floor push ups and no hand stand. I can do limited planks and regular elastic band stretches, slowliy. Ii want to build up my chest but I not much I do eliminiates my chest and underarm back fat. You videos are great and I have learned a lot as well as utlizde a lot of everything you describe/show demonstrate. But I need some unique help please.

hey Jeff.. great workout I started watching them only last year and I can tell you honestly.. its sorted quite a lot of injury issues I've had over the years as an athlete and at the gym. my body structure has improved as well! and I used to watch your videos to motivate me to hit the gym haha .. still do from time to time.. so yea thanks man..

Hi Jeff,Thank you so so much for the very useful videos you got here,my question is: Ive started fallowing your program on the internet and practicing them at GYM,I am on the weight watchers diet plan and lost about 10KG so far,when I started my weight was 93KG and my height is 171c.m =5.7 feet and Id like to know whats the best weight is for me please?

I struggle d with my weight off and on for years. At 20 I got down to 8% body fat after working my ass off for 4 years trying to better myself. I had accomplished my body goals through no small amount of hard work, sweat, and tears. Then I broke my arms and shot up to 20% body fat within the first year and an additional 5% last year now I'm train myself again but in fact do have some of the problems regarding the fat he talks about in these videos. Such as saggy chest and love handles. It incredibley hard for me to do some of these exercises but I pase myself every day and take workouts like this one and put them to use. They do work, they are hard but they do work. Nothing worth having comes easy in this world but in the end if you don't get up to do it even if you can only do one push up and one jumping jacks you have no one to blame but yourself for the way you look. Everyone has to start some where even if it's just walking you will get better that walk will turn into a run that push up will become 50 before you know it. And nothing is to hard so long as giving up is never even an option for you.

All these dudes saying its not possible are the ones who will stay fat forever. Great video man. This on top of a bit of isolated weight training will completely transform your chest. Make sure to take those BCAA's cuz yall gonna be sore AF!

Hi Jeff, first I would like to say that I love your videos. This is definitely one problem I have. I am 59 and had 12 operations in the last 12 years. There's a problem with this video that I can't do and it frustrates me. I have had a knee and hip replacement. Also a quad muscle tear that I am still recovering from. Would you have any other ideas that I can do besides jumping on a bench or box. I used to be in fantastic shape in 2012. But all hell came crashing on me. I am now 300 pounds and totally hate the way I look. Can you some how help me with your expertise. Thanks for your time. Frank
