Enjoying to see you playing root again. Most relevant mistakes: - Max shouldn't have to remove warriors when sacrificing, that was an early version of the lizards. - Jesse often forgot to use extra boots when moving to hostile clearings.

Attention, Tablenauts guy is misplaying the Lizard Cult. While he rectified his erroneous discarding in the beginning, he kept removing warriors from the map to place them in the acolytes box when revealing bird cards at 29:03. The sacrifice action does NOT actually require you to remove warriors on the map. You take them from your supply!

My biggest tip for the lizard cult is to be annoying. Place your guys in as many clearings as you can, and if they don’t deal with you place more guys, if they do attack you, make them pay for their crimes with your acolytes. The lizard cult is one of my favorite factions because of how annoying you can be.

Suggestion: You should play another game of Root where the 1st place takes the faction if the 4th player, the 2nd takes the faction of the 3rd place faction, etc. And see how it goes 😁

I said i missed Shawn on a tablenauts video recently. Nice to see max and Shawn on here again. After watching the crime week videos, I feel like doolin needs to take jessies introduction saying and I'm a bat every time he comes on here. Tinker is overpowered! It almost breaks the game. Get 3 hammers and no one can stop you.

18:25 That root tea is a bunny suited card but it (like all the root tea cards) requires a mouse crafting resource so unfortunately, the lizards shouldn’t have been able to craft that

Remember you get a VP for removing cardboard pieces from the board, this includes: 1) Vagabond taking items from ruins 2) Cult changing a building into a garden

Loved the gameplay! Lizard cult gets so much better with the the revised board/rules, prior to that they are pretty underwhelming

The lizard cult is super restrictive, to get around that try to get bunny clearings early and put some gardens in there. Bunny cards give you extra actions which is so key for the lizards. Of course you need the cards but with luck you can hold out until you get them

I still haven't won with Lizards but they are my favorite group group to play by far!

hmmm I'm not sure if I recall correctly, but I think that when you are resting in forest as vagabond then you don't flip items, just move them to upper area? also when Vagabond want to walk into clearing where his enemy is ruling then vagabond needs to pay a matching card?

I found a mistake as the lizard cult you dont get victory points for placing gardens.

I still dont quite know how any faction plays in this game, and Im hoping to eventually learn through osmosis and enough gameplay videos. Oath however 👀is a whole other beast

The lizards are TOUGH. I feel both cats and duchy should’ve targeted the vagabond earlier. I don’t think it would’ve been possible for Jesse to run away with it with those two big factions on the board and targeting him. Much like you guys, halfway through it stopped being interesting and fun. Root is a game that something like this happens too often - player discrepancies in regards to knowledge on their factions sinks the game. Putting in the work to get where it’s great is really not worth it for me.
