If we face the truth, we were made to be behind so we have to celebrate us breaking in to a lot of things. Africans were trying to sound Americans for a long time but now Americans wanna sound African, that’s what Trevor was saying. We are in it now but we shouldn’t look back and remember how we couldn’t do all of this. Even with whites, there is always someone to be the first to do something. They didn’t invite burna, the team probably even pay to get the interview. Record label doing promotions, radio run and tv appearances is not free. Being on tv isn’t free in the states, either they need you for rating or you need tv for your exposure and thus you lobby to be on. Wizkid never did all those late night shows like others who’s record company actually pay for the promotion Wizkid only do something if he’s invited, yet sold out American tours and headlining all the major concerts and festivals through summer. If the interview is organic you’d realise tv channels would be asking who is Wizkid can we get him in but that’s not how it works, it’s the artists management and label that get lobby the media to get interviewed.. All you are seeing here is just promotion for the upcoming album and the MSG gig just concluded

Record company working overtime … there’s another artist from Africa who had a top ten billboard song & only one to do so, one who’s headlining major festivals & concerts in America and already toured it twice already and has the biggest longest and fastest selling album by any African in America, when are you gonna interview him? Not just invite your friend multiple times .
