This video is meant to accompany my coverage of every heroic dungeon in the burning crusade, which you will start seeing on the channel soon. This one has more general tips/advice that you can use in every heroic, and the rest will be specific to each dungeon, covering boss strategies, trash strategies, skips, and monotone commentary. hey madseason great vids, but perhaps you forgot about true sight which will make sapping difficult, you could add that in the specific dungeon guides for which mobs have true sight
Hey man, just wanted to say thank you for the amazing content you have been pumping out these last years. You were the yotuber who first got me into Classic WoW, and it has became my favorite and most played game. Keep up the great work, and good luck in tbc! :)
So excited to be able to really experience TBC as an adult. This is when I started playing originally but as a 12 year old who had no idea what he was doing but enjoyed himself anyway. Now as an adult I can understand more but still feel that sense of childlike wonder and satisfaction when I enter a new zone or complete a really difficult Wanted quest with a group of people.
Well. As usual your video guides are always top shelf... But I just wanted to mention that I always love tuning in just to hear the background music as well. Kudos 😎
Remember locks, curse of rek makes a target immune to fear so if things go a bit crazy you can fear and then rek before the mob chain pulls to break your own fear early. Howling a group and reking a couple to manage damage is also useful at times
I always love your choice of music for your videos man, the old ff games and zelda music is always fitting and man you gotta love the super guitar bros. Awesome content dude.
Been going really hard with videos. My plan is to have at least 10 of them done by the time the game launches so I can schedule them and play without worry of falling behind on RU-vid. Home stretch though! Thanks for the support
TBC heroics is where I learned to tank back in the day. I can tell ya, it was not a joyous experience, but I eventually became one of the good ones. Your videos always make me want to go back.
Honestly I'm super excited for heroic dungeons. Got a couple buddies im playing with and it'll be super fun to run the heroic dungeons with them and try to get those sweet sweet purple drops.
Wow, cranking out those videos and have a blast playing without other big obligations! Sounds like the way TBC should be played. And here I thought I was prepared by having a babysitter scheduled that Thursday 😂. You are way more on top of your stuff that I am.
Madseason, you are my favorite content creator. We are all tired of the game man, but we keep going because we love it. This is our 2nd chance to do everything we wanted to back then. Thank you for continuing to put out content, we all appreciate it more than you'll ever know. The only reason you don't see the impact you have on us is because you don't know us personally. Thanks again for everything you've done, and continue to do. Have a great day man!
Hit 60 on my sexy Blood Elf Mage a couple hours ago, now just tidying up a few quests I need to do, getting those last skills points.. going for the pre patch event Tabard later. Had an amazing week leveling up and can't wait for TBC to start proper. Just sitting down for dinner and this popped up. All is good.
Sounds like a lot of content Madseason! Pumping out a lot of videos isn’t usually your style, I don’t think your audience really expects that of you, so just do what feels right, don’t burn yourself out over it. But I can tell your excited, we all are, so looking forward to what lies ahead!
Writing a 2-3 page essay can give me headaches and great anxiety, I dont know how you are able to jampack so much information in an effective way all the while making it a hoot to listen to
A few notes: - You didn't mention elemental shaman buffing casters. If you think windfury is big for melee try wrath of air/totem of wrath/mana spring totem for spellcasters. - Shadow gets up to 10% spell hit for shadow spells through shadow talents. This makes them far better at using MC which is a channeled spell and thus can break at any point if resistances kick in.
Man, I forgot about the rocket launcher! I definitely used it just starting out as a pally tank, also the goggles were a GODSEND on the journey to block cap!!!
I didn't listen anything you said in the video just wanted it for the backround for soothing voice and music :) I'll come back to this when I hit 70 tho.
Mind control the mages in heroic Durnholde > profit. Lots of mobs are immune to MC so make sure they aren't before wiping your group :) Shadow priests are quite useful for this with their + hit and the fact they don't need to be healing. Reminds me how nobody wanted to do Heroic Durnholde keep back in the days, I wanted the chest from the Mana-Etched Regalia set which looked quite cool for my priest. It felt like a huge achievement once we made it. We kept wiping and the group was pissed so we usually quit and most people didn't have much to do in durnholde and I think the daily heroic quest rarely brought us there. That was before they nerfed the dungeons though and most people weren't min maxing or weren't exactly using their classes optimally. Good memories, we were a bunch of noobs that enjoyed the game.
I’m curious how group dynamics will pan out. I recall at the beginning of the expansion everyone assumed warriors were the tank of choice but by the end they all wanted paladin tanks and were afraid of warrior tank pugs.
@@madseasonshow Yo madseason, could you gift me a new account with a lvl 58 lvl boost ? im broke af, and I also couldn't experience tbc in its glory days :D :D
Great video. Don't know how much they changed stuff in regards to original TBC release, so my original TBC experience might not hold in the upcoming TBC. But in regards to Feral Druid, you left some things for the druid, feral particular. But Leader of the Pact, back in the day, had some extra mechanics which made it even more insane and OP, such as generating your resource on crits, and healing you, making up for some possibilities of trivializing all content initially, I remember. Also Druid Bears were so OP their damage was ridiculous, prior to nerfs, and mechanics changes. Swipe did massive amounts of damage(prior to a huge dmg nerf, yet still giving it massive threat mechanics), along with how it worked around crits from a full Leader of the Pact mechanics (free swipes+ even more rage from crits with swipes), not to mention the initial heals. Fral bears were also the physical tank kinds then, having initially 50% more health, fully physical mitigation capped and little over 40% dodge, while still managing to have the needed def to avoid the worst crushes, although the mitigation was so hilarious at the release that a Druid Feral Tank could heal himself and do so much damage, it was the preferred leveling form, since you simply always fought 3 mobs or so. It was in a time when the super high amount of Stamina added, to all items greatly boosted the new bonus attributes Feral Druids could gain from their talents. And getting str/agi/stam items were rather easy, and meant both high damage, crit, dodge was possible. I went into TBC from a Warrior main to a Feral Druid main, and it was stupid how OP the feral druid was then, at the start of TBC, also was possible to almost solo many non heroic dungeons, then. Both fun and hilarious OP the first weeks. Unless they changed a lot, Feral Druids(who has experience as tanks prior) are going to be the go to tanks until raiding, just because how many buffs, mark stat buff, leader of the pact(imp when it could heal multiple times, think it got limited tho). Insane high HP and mitigation pool, making it very easy for healers, very easy to gain high amount of dodge and crit, thus dual ways of gaining rage incredibly fast, easily. So unless they nerfed them some more, they are an exceptional fun class to play in TBC, especially as tanks.
First time this early)Amazing guide, Madseason as always making sure ppl are looking forward to play game) P.S. Great soundtracks btw, love how there's so much old-school SNES ost, often times they're underused, nice touch🙏❤️
Thanks for watching, if you'd like to listen to them without the monotone voiceover, I always have all music linked in the description as well. Throw them a sub and show support, they deserve it!
The beta community was great. There were a few pugs that were wipefests and 2+ hr runs, but most every one stuck it out, learned, and ended up clearing them. I have a 3 hour arcatraz clear with the same party start to finish. Good times
One minor note on shadow priests in TBC. Mind Flay has a 20 yard range in TBC, and this is close enough to die on Prince Malchezar and on some other fights. They're still a great spec, and Warlocks (which will be everywhere) love em. Edit: When you need to do your Shattered Halls speedrun, bring a paladin tank. You'll thank me later.
It's been a while since I touched Shadowlands sadly, I'm afraid my opinion wouldn't be very enlightening. I did hear about the stagnation issues though, hopefully that can get resolved soon
12:00 Not that it matters much in the context of this video, but Paladins didn't get a proper AoE heal until Cata. In Wrath they had Beacon which let you heal 2 homies at once, that's all.
18:30 *FUN FACT:* there is a guy in your party named "ñomomielda" wich means something like "sh¡t gnome" in spanish. I kek'd so hard when you highlighted his name :D
gnome is gnomo in spanish and some people call them "ñomos" as a joke, and mielda is m¡erda (sh¡t in spanish) changing a letter because you can't type m¡erda in the character creaton
What about Frost mage in PVE? I know they are off-meta but I always enjoyed playing Frost even in Retail, Are they decent in PVE? I just dont wanna be very bottom of DPS charts
Thanks for watching, it means a lot. I do have some non-WoW stuff planned for the channel post launch as well, hopefully a nice change of pace since I know a lot of people who watch the channel have also quit WoW. I hope people like it!
On the paladins only ranged pull is the shield trow at around 19 mins , that is kinda not true since there is a easy work around . ez trow dynamite that can be used by anyone , and my favorite kobald geomancers in elywen forest drop a candle that in practice is a instant level 1 fireball in your bag that stacks up to 20.
