It's a good game but in my opinion burnout 3 I better crashes and they had one game mode this didn't I mean they could have had a scenario almost every traffic light where certain section you have to crash certain cars

I'm getting real tired of hearing people say burnout 3 is better every time this game is brought up. they are two completely different games so you cant really say one is better or not. Its just comes down to if you like closed courses or an open world. I don't go and say how burnout paradise is better then other games. Their isn't that many games that even compare to what burnout paradise is.
I personally think Burnout 3 was better overall, mainly because road rage was rewardingly fun to do, since you can't repair your car no matter what, which equals one mistake it's game over, whereas in Paradise you just get to the nearest repair station and back to the action still, Paradise biggest ups (at least on the PC) we're that (nowadays) you can modding up the game to adding real cars like BMW M3 GTR, and getting better textures + reshade

I'll be honest, this new burnout better have soundtracks as good as 3 and Revenge, and if they're dared to put literally the entire playlist with Jake Paul, Lil Wayne, and whatever all the shitty popular musics that's just completely out of place in most racing games these days, I think this franchise may as well better off back to sleep in its grave for good
Something you'll realise if you've played it on the last generation even now many things that actually turns fun into frustration with paradise compared to the actual Burnout games that are the pinnacle of arcade racers, the camera is lower not giving you a good view of the road ahead, the fact it's open world can be very frustrating especially in the city environment where everything looks the same it's way more difficult to predict and judge your drifts and turns because you can miss a turn or take the wrong one than having a set track and memorising every detail of it, there's way too many annoyances of obstacles like street lights, barriers or signs that just get in the way to slow you down and the traffic is pretty ridiculous at times sometimes filling entire lanes on both sides giving you no choice but to stop or crash and burn. While paradise is fun it isn't the best in the series nowhere close.
Also burnout 3 had the best soundtrack hands down, to this day you go on RU-vid search those songs 99% of the time top comments are people referencing Burnout 3
I played Burnout 3 at a demo station in a games shop back in the day. It broke my brain how instantly fun it was. Lived with friends at the time and we played it constantly. Same for Revenge. Something about Paradise that left us cold and we couldn’t get into it. I’m very hesitant to buy the remaster. Might wait til it’s on sale and grab it for 20 quid.
I've never played Burnout Paradise. I ordered PS4 version from Amazon for my discounted 20% off but then I cancelled because a lot of people mention it was over-priced. You convinced me to just by the damn game. It looks like a lot of fun. :)

I loved this game before and I got it again . The re mastered version . Some places you cannot drive on which is a shame as would have been awesome . I enjoy the takedown challenges .
I just hope if they make a new one it has planned courses, it can still have free roam with cop chases maybe, but a game about crashing needs to keep all the cars on the same track
I think burnout paradise feels old because of the music, like if you made the map a little bigger, gave it up-to-date graphics, more cars, more things to do, and an updated sound track, it would definitely surpass the arcade racers we have today.
The Burnout games on the ps2 were the ultimate bad weather activity for me and friends to socialise when they came out. Before we had our consoles connected to the internet and games all had party or split screen multiplayer. Paradise was an incredible game (i never had the DLC so even the base game was incredible), especially in the early days of PS3, it was truly open world and huge. Sadly, today nostalgia can blind us a bit. The game might have updated visuals and include ps4 trophies (original release did not have trophies, they were added later and did not back-issue them, so I could never get them all, like 'smash 100 billboards' if I had less than 100 left to smash when trophies started.) but it is still in essence a PS3 era game. As an example... I have recently been playing the MGS HD collection on my PS Vita, and if it were not on a handheld would not be as appealing. The games are still incredible and have a very interesting story, but the combat mechanics, camera angles, controls are all well below modern standards. This means that they do not feel as smooth as we have become accustomed to. Play any PS1 action game that was pre-dualshock and tell me that it is not a very awkeward control scheme to us now! Having recently completed MGS on my PS1 I have tried to finish other old classics and struggled with the controls. Thankfully the combat is slower in these games. I also played Goldeneye splitscreen with a friend on his N64 a few weeks ago and it was so hard to get used to, and a lot slower than we are used to in terms of gameplay. Re mastered games have great nostalgic value, but they are not to the same standard as modern console or PC games, and people that do not have a nostalgic view of a game may not understand why we love old games. (Crash Bandicoot remaster as an example)
The feeling of nostalgia is, in my opinion, the best feeling there is (at least for a long time 'gamer' as me). And compared to the games nowadays just an unbeatable game.
I had burnout revenge and I loved it. The racing was great and the crashes were spectacular and also the soundtrack was everything I listened to at that time. I never could finish it bc there were so many cars to unlock and missions and races to do. I just bought paradise but I also just bought GTA V and started GTA first. I spent four hours just driving around the map before ever doing a mission so it will be a while before I get to burnout but am looking forward to it.
The best arcade racer just got better , as not being a big DLC fan this is perfect , new content , updated graphics & brilliant gameplay the games awesome

sence this burnout paradise I think in future updates they should add all the cars from every burnout game made. maybe make the map bigger by adding all the tracks and connect all of them to paradise city, like with the big surf island. I think that would make this the ultimate burnout game. that's burnout 1, 2 point of impact, 3 takedown, revenge, and dominater. all in one burnout game.
My guess is u need ps plus, if i were u...id get the ps3, xbox or PC version of the game, that way u wouldn't have to worry about having to pay to play online :p

This is looking to be a case study in how to re-release a game properly. Rockstar could do well to take notes from EA (this time) if it wants to re-release midnight club L.A. on to newer hardware, including all the DLC from before, maybe adding in some new DLC further down the line.

Free roam racing sucks, theres not enough traffic to dodge because it has to spawn everywhere, and you have to watch your blinker to see where to go. If they made this a proper racing game with planned courses and a real crash mode I'd buy it. Get to work fixing the game Criterion
Bullshit, you see everyone asking for Burnout 3. Everyone who likes paradise was born too late to play a real burnout game, so it seems good to you. Making it free roam completely eliminates the point of the game as theres no one around to crash into

*I want a veteran Burnout player to answer a few questions* I'm gonna bitched about a few things cause I just got it today and it's not perfect at all. I never played the original one from 2008, so this remastered was a no brainer for me. But I encounter some annoyances I'd like addressed by vets. - controls are different. I used to play Burnout Dominator a lot in my day and Square isn't drifting, R2 is. Dunno if this is to avoid legal problems with NFS because they function the same. - speaking of controls, where the hell is the menu of it? As a first time player after a fucking decade I'd like to see the controls but you don't get this option at all, forget about customization too. If this has been the same model used in recent titles, my bad for not knowing, but I have never encountered a game without the damn option to see the visual controls. - this is an OCD of mine, but why the fuck does the music go up to 11? Why not 15, 10, or 20? Why stop at 11?! - SFX is at a 2 while music is at a 11 (Srsly whyyy) and my bike is fucking loud. Explain? Help? No issues with cars on SFX.. - dunno if it's a one day release issue or that's how it's always been, but why do cars take their sweet time to load? Goddamn, the animations to just shift through them to even dropping them from the sky feels like it takes forever. That's it for questions. - I find myself moving my right hand in uncomfortable positions due to button placement. From my pointing finger going to R2 to R1 to switch tracks, to my thumb going to X and then square to performed like 5 different tasks at once. Don't get me started on the D-pad for online play all at once WHILE looking at the map. - online events are a lot of fun, but it's frustrating when everyone is sooo spread out. 'mark' events are tedious because a limit is in place and that person is way across the map and by the time you get close, it's a new mark across the opposite side. - I really feel like there's a lot of stuff missing that I'm supposed to be seeing when it comes to menus and options, this is the most direct and very limited thing I've come across in a game. Solara I can't speak for the controls on Dominator but the ps2 games all used face buttons for driving. The cars took FOREVER to load on the old game, really dissapointed to hear they didn't fix that, what with more gpu power and all This game is a free roam racer about crashing, which means everyone will split up and you won't see them for the rest of the race, completely negating the whole crashing part of the game Burnout Paradise is a shadow of its former self, it was the best racer ever on ps2, only to be completely ruined by ea

Solara from ps3 on almost all car games use L2 and R2 for brakes and gas, i didn't like it at first but it is easier on the thumbs. The volume going up to 11 is an old joke from spinal tap, an 80s movie. The guitarist says amps only go to 10, but sometimes you want a little more. Interviewer: why don't you just make 10 louder? But this one goes to 11
Nabre Labre I only played Burnout in the PS2 era so I wouldn't know regarding the PS3 controllers. I see, on a different side note, I wonder if anyone noticed, but the game isn't loud with headphones. I use a DAC+Amp to drive my headphones and even at max volume it's lackluster.
Solara I don't use headphones so I can't speak on that. And the game not having menu's is by design, being a free roamer you have to stop in an intersection, try and remember if you did that race already, and press 2 buttons to start a race. This is a rant btw. "Open world in racing games began with Paradise City"......... That's just wrong. Before this you had: Need for Speed Underground 2, Need for speed Most Wanted, Need for speed Undercover, Test Drive Unlimited, Several Midnight Clubs and probably some few more that i did not mention. Do your research please, before you post a video and say things that are just NOT true at all. And no Paradise REMASTERED is not PERFECT. It's great and fun but it still has some flaws and is actually quite repetitive at some point. Later in the game you start to repeat the same tracks you did before but with slightly faster cars. The way that tracks are set up is also quite boring because you have about 8 points in the map that are finish points. So you just start from an intersection on the map and the game just tells you to drive to one of the eight or-so points on the map ("You are here, drive to the Wildcats baseball stadium"). Basically making you take similar routes for many different races. In stunt runs if you know of a few good spots you just always drive there, do 1 crazy combo and stop, you always win except for some late-game challenges .. The game also becomes quite tedious when you are trying to get all the cars. Try finding those last 5 barriers or billboards or drive through every. single. street as fast as you can. Just hours and hours of quite repetitive grind/searching. So much fun.... And also... looping top-speed car sounds. It keeps making the sound as if you are accelerating and shifting gears indefinitely, even if you have already reached top speed.... a small thing but still a small annoyance.
I never played Burnout Paradise but recently went though the 2012 NFS Most Wanted game. From the Paradise description here I'd guess NFS borrowed pretty heavily from Paradise?!
Not sure why they would make the decision to remaster this one...Not a bad game by any means but I thought Burnout 3 was more highly praised. And I would've loved my personal favorite, Burnout Revenge to get a remaster. Burnout Paradise was already on PC too, might as well make the other ones more available.

Game is awesome. Racing games have gone to shit in last 7 years. This is how all them should be. Need for speed needs to take notes cause I'm done buying there horse shit games. If burnout came out with a new game with complete car custamation you would have the best racing game out there. Only complaint I have is online. I wish it was easier for you and a few buddies to que into a lobby with 5 others and race. Way it is now is all about if host actually starts a damn match. They also need to add takedown into the online play.

Yeah, because coming out of a blind bend or alley into traffic you cant see because the camera position is too low is a great way to race. Not. Or when you are doing Autodrive stuff and people leave so you cant complete it. They should have done Burnout 3 or Revenge

The first time i played burnout paradise was when was a child i hated it because i was so trash at it but i still loved it trying to get cars was the best part i hate it and i love it.
