Last year 100% karlsson got robbed. He is the best Defenceman in the league and he proved it again this year. But the amount of goals Burns scored is ridiculous

I'm a Karlsson/Ottawa fan, but people need to chill a bit. Karlsson was great in the regular season and unbelievable in the playoffs, and it's not like people don't know he's a great player. However, I see nothing wrong with Burns being awarded for his also great regular season. I would still argue for EK given his defensive superiority, but I can at least see the point in voting for Burns this year. It's not some kind of bizarre robbery, like last year with Due Doughty. Remember that Lidstrom finished 2nd three times in a row before he won his first Norris trophy at 31. Karlsson has two Norris trophies already and is only 26; realistically he has another 8-10 years to add more.
Maybe Karlsson deserved to win, but can you guys just stop complaining? It seems that's all that people want to do. I mean, let's appreciate how talented all 3 of these guys are, and be excited that we got a chance to watch them excel. Anyway, congrats Brent!

How many people here watched a significant number of Sharks and Sens games this year? You have no idea who the best d-man was, and neither do the people voting. That's why the only award that matters is the Cup.
People are selling Burns way too short. Karlsson of course deserves Norris honor as well, but Burns had a historic season and carried the sharks in the regular season. The sharks best offense was a Brent Burns point slap shot, and no one in the league is better at getting point shots through to the net. He led San Jose in goals (29 goals for a freaking defenseman vs 17 for Karlsson) and assists as a defenseman. Plus Burnzie has been around longer and hasn't won it yet (which is probably why Doughty won last year instead of Karlsson).

karlssons season stats are still better than burns obviously i'm not talking about total points here. Karlsson could possibly have tied him anyway but rested the last few games of the season

Karlsson did a good job not making a face, even though you should never expect to win I think it was safe to say Karlsson should have won but Burns deserved a Norris too so... ya
