What ticks me off is when they commit suicide anyways. Why take any other life if you’re going to turn it on yourself. And now to find out it was a straw purchase. Most likely current partner. And you be surprised what the courts will allow. He shouldn’t have had any rights to the kids. But yet it’s hard to say no you can’t see your dad anymore so then the bad dads get some rights. Partly because courts don’t believe the moms who do report. They too often think it’s just to hurt the father. Well not every case is like that and should be investigated thoroughly. Any sign of abuse should auto cause dad to lose rights until he can prove he got help. And if situation was between partners and it didn’t involve kids the courts won’t keep apart. At least the kids lived but they going to be messed up for a life because of this. If his current partner bought gun for him knowing he was a danger then she needs to be brought to justice. Sucks cuz some of the kids lose both parents and system won’t do them any good too few good homes to place them. It’s all messed up how laws don’t protect enough. Most of time the person has to commit a crime before anyone affected can be safe, get help and protection. Should be a law for obvious pre crime possibilities.
