Burong Isda is a well loved dipping sauce/condiment for us ilokano's or from provinces of Northern Luzon. It is best served with any fried fish or steam vegetables (e.g. Okra, Eggplant, Kamote Tops - (sweet potato tops). so, here's my version, don't forget to like, comment & share. God bless everyone!

Ingredients:
I Kilo Fish (hito or any other fish with white meat)
6 Cups cooked rice
9 tablespoon salt (4 tbsp for fish and 5 tsp for rice mixture)
2 tbsp white vinegar
1/2 cup water (optional, only add when rice is too dry)

Sa lugar namin sa Nueva Ecija, karaniwang pink ang buro. Sa Tarlac at Pangasinan ko nakita na natural na puti ang kanilang buro. Yung suki ko sa palengke na matandang ale ang pinakamasarap na maggawa ng buro na alam ko. Pero pumanaw n siya,at wala p ako natataguan n sing sarap niya gumawa. Sa tarlac sana masarap din kaso ay malayo s amin 😢. Kaya gusto ko matutunan gawin ito, yung hindi lasang pekeng asim. Natural na naburo. 😊

Mine takes between 3 to 4 weeks to ferment. And the rice isn't wet or mushy like yours. I don't add tomatoes. Just a handful of sliced onions and plenty of oil roasted garlic. Texture isn't "soupy". Anyhow, I'm sure yours is yummy too. 😋👌

Hindi siya dapat nasa ref. Kahit sa cabinet lng po, basta malamig po medyo un lugar.

Paano po kung walang rock salt? Iodized salt at plain salt lang access ko, then frozen fillet tilapia lang rin po meron. Pwede po ba yun? Paadvice naman po kung pwede, measurement ng salt and how many pieces ng isda at cups of rice. Salamat po and more power!

too much liquid means over fermentation. ung isda na ginamit is hito which is very watery and mas malansa compared sa tilapia, bulig or gurami. too much oil din sa pagluluto. as u can see ung hito buo pa which is an indication of too much salt.

Well...to tell u honestly hindi po malansa un hito as long as nilinis mo siya ng maigi at tinanggal un kulani sa gilid ng fin malapit sa ulo..at mas masarap po siya compare sa tilapia and the salt is not too much (btw, 9tablespoon of rock salt lng ginamit ko), perfect po ang lasa niya...i can assure you that, dahil pinamigay ko siya at marami po ang nakatikim ng ginawa ko na yan at lahat sila ay isa lang ang nasabi "MASARAP". Why not try the recipe po muna, then balik ka po sa akin 😉 if maalat po siya or malansa. And besides the oil is not too much..tinapos mo po ba un video?

masarap po hehe kung mahilig ka sa tuyo magugustuhan mo siya. parang maalat alat na may konting asim, sobrang sarap niya ipartner sa pritong isda :) wag mo nga lang siyang aamuyin hahaha

As per my experience..tumatagal po siya ng ilang buwan..basta po nasa ref siya..minsan nilalagay ko din siya sa freezer pra mas lalo siyang tumagal..hindi po siya masisira pag may kamatis basta po nagisa at naluto siyang maigi 😊

@@akirabalaoro2903 yes po maximum po 7days...pero minsa po pwde na siya ng ika 5 or 6days i-check na lng..suggest ko rin po na mas maganda if hindi pupunuin ng husto un garapon kasi mas madali siyan maferment po 😊

Hindi po..sa parte ng bahay niyo na medyo malamig po...pagkatapos maburo if hinsdi niyo pa lulutuin dun mo pedeng lagay sa ref po.
