I’ve owned this Burr King 760 for almost a year now. I purchased this grinder at the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville Kentucky this February. Burr King is an American company making quality tools. I’m extremely happy with the fit and finish. It’s extremely versatile and can remove metal very very quickly and has a lot more uses than an old school benchtop wheel grinder. I feel it’s also a lot safer. I wish I would’ve bought one of these years ago. It’s probably the most used tool in the shop besides the air compressor.
Go get one. You won’t be disappointed. 👍🏼

I think I got it at Northern Tool. 👍🏼 It’s been a bit and I’ve slept since then, so you may have to cut me a little break. 😆

Platen is the proper name for the "Backpiece" as you call it. Lol Trust me that happens to me all the time.

Yeah, I stumbled on proper terminology as my videos are unscripted and off the cuff. And once the video is live, you can’t edit it for simple little things like that. So I live with it. 👍🏼 Thanks for watching and subscribing. I appreciate your honest comments as well sir!

@@dieselshadow I hope I didn't come across as a Smartass on that. Like I said, I have that same issue on a daily basis. Getting older sucks. Lol

Phillip, no worries. You’re absolutely right. And you didn’t. I have zero issues with being corrected. I’d rather the viewers had correct info than worry about “looks.” 😆

@@dieselshadow Hey, I would like to see a Shop Tour Video from you, and I'm sure your other Subscribers woukd too. I get a lot of very useful ideas from these. I am designing my next Shop right now, and plan on starting construction in the next 18 months max. So, I have been watching a lot of these Shop Tours right now. The last Shop 40'x80' I built was about 20 years ago when I lived outside of Johnson City, Tn. I'm 53 now, so this next one I plan on being my last one, so I'm spending much more time planning and designing this one. I Get great ideas about Organization, Storage, Machine placement, etc. from everyone's Shop Tours. I love your Lathe. I think I am gonna go with the PM- 1440GT Ultra Precision I really wanted to go with the PM-1660TL Ultra Precision but hells fire man, 2 more inches of swing and 20" more of center costs almost exactly double than the 1440GT. That's crazy! The other great thing about the 1660 is the Spindle Bire is 2.55" and can handle 2.5" round stock, and it weighs a lil over 4k lbs. That extra weight helps out greatly with rigidity equating to Precision. But I can't justify the extra 8k$ Didn't mean to get long winded. Keep up the Great Work 👍

My shop is really my garage. And it’s a huge mess right now. Actually fairly embarrassing. I’d like to build a shop myself next year or so. I need my garage to be a garage and a shop for all the machines and projects. It’s be great to separate all the welding, grinding, and painting to a whole different building.
