They actually hunt at night, I see them at my house and all over. Unlike most owls they do venture out in the day time and maybe a little hunting but they do most their hunting at night. I see it with my own eyes and I looked it up to verify
I stand corrected by someone who knows more about these owls than I do. I live in Missouri and used film shot by an acquaintance on a trip out West. I've observed Great Horned Owls in the woods behind our house for the last fourteen years, and I don't think I'd make such an amateur's mistake about them, but I took a chance in narrating something about a bird I've never even seen. 🤷♀️Now if you want to know about GHOs or Barred Owls, I'm your go-to gal. As for baby hummingbirds, no, I haven't been lucky enough to see them. I've done a dozen or so films about hummers, but I've never had the privilege of seeing a nest.
I am pretty far south and east and they are here too. I just looked on a birding site and they are in the west and in Florida. How strange is that? Must somehow be climate related. Thanks for another great video. Hope your healing continues to do well.
Yes, Dawn, my husband reminded me that when we were in Florida a couple of years ago, we looked for them. As for healing, I'm practically ready to throw away the one after just 2 1/2 weeks.
