Mr. Burt Lancaster was an excellent, versatile actor. He became a legend. As an activist for equal civil rights and for environmental issues. I’d say he was an excellent man. I thank his spirit for his existence and his contributions. Thank you Mr Lancaster.
One of my favorites, anything he was in was enjoyable. He always played a character that you could relate to. The smile and grin where contagious, phenomenal talent, I always wondered would the real Burt measure up to the on screen persona.
He was unique in every respect. Talent, physical ability, good look and physical acumen . He had charm .wit, showed sensitivity and vulnerability as well as superior strength. These qualities are rare or even absent in today’s “ stars”. His personal life was his own and no body’s business. He was a champion for racial equality, equal right for everyone. And an environmentalist before it became fashionable. He was dedicated to his craft and produced work to a high standard . He was a risk taker. Daring in his choices of roles. His reputation is untarnished and and he was loved by many who knew him. His films entertainment even today. You gave me many hour of enjoyment and happiness watching your performance. RIP.
A classic physique with amazing grace and talent. Trapeze is one of his best! Always have been a fan. Whatever he did, he did perfectly. He was a star the minute he stepped onto a set. From Here to Eternity is a classic. What an actor!!!
