When I first read the headline my respect for Burt Reynolds went to zero. But after having watched the video and seeing he provided for his son through a trust, and that the notation in his will was only a tax thing, I am very pleased to say my respect for him soared.
He did not leave him out of his will , in stead of leaving him 1 lump sum he left him a declaration that declares him a guarantee amount per year for the rest of his LIFE.....
I met Burt and Loni at a party was working at Parking cars on Jupiter Island... Never will forget it ! My boss bought his beach house.. Good memories of him flying his blk. with gold stripe helicopter daily .. One of Hollywood's greatest that will live on forever !!

I met Burt Reynolds back some time around 1995 or so not positive but anyways I met him at a food seminar in Nashville TN. I will agree that he was so nice. He had a smile from ear to ear . He came up to me like I was a friend from way back and took and wrapped his arm over my shoulders and hugged me all so kindly. I loved it and made me blush all at the same time made my night. I was so lucky to have been hugged by such a famous man . Oh and not to mention he made sure if never for get that special night by having a picture taken of him and myself. As he handed me the picture he said here's something to remember me by and some bragging right. Lol and he was so right. Love you Burt Reynolds may you rest in peace
I was in Gila Bend , Arizona, when they were filming The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing. The wrangler and stunt men stayed in the same cabin complex across the street from the old Comet coffee shop. We got hassled by a Gila Bend PD for not wearing our helmets while we rode across the street from the coffee shop to our cabin....The guy was a nut job, we walked down to the liquor store and this cop would follow us from the block over.....

Imagine Burt might have been hard to live with and not keeping track of his finances big mistake. Happens to many people. He made us laugh but I often wondered when no one was around who he was. RIP
I really hope that he left his son something in a TRUST FUND. For himself and future children of his own. If I were Rich I would leave my daughter and grandkids who had accomplished something good in life, before I passed. My druggie and foul mouth son wouldn't receive anything. That's why when you write a story get to the point right away cause that's what readers are waiting for - to be pulled into the story . Going into Lonnie Anderson was his wife and his son was an assistant camera man isn't relevant to the title that states Why Burt left his son out of the will was for a good reason. .

Kids are addicted to it & click right away. Also the finger family vids bring-in a lot of monetization as well. The shear volume of these is staggering but *they work.*

Big freaking deal get over it my father died when i was 17 yrs old left me nothing but a memory of his loyalty to his kids and my mother he was a poor man but a good man and that is all that matters to me money is not the answer but reputation and love and good name .

Both ex-wives, Judy Carne and Loni Anderson both said in their memoirs that Burt was violent to them, so it wasn't just Loni. Burt had an evil temper and he took it out on women. If he was such a up-front guy, why didn't he pick on someone his own size. I liked Burt until I heard how he beat treated women. His choice to be that way; there's never an excuse to beat up on women.. Any property he had at all, like his property in FL, he only had because friends of his paid his mortgage and even his ex-wife, Loni helped Burt from losing his home. Sounds like she was a forgiving, good woman to him, maybe more than he deserved.

my parents both died 7 yrs ago,they gave us a good upbringing ...but we were always poor,when they passed away,neither had anything left to give,.. ..5 children,not a pence ,was left ...to will,..they were 70s, i had their love and support,and the bible they gave us each,....we are standing on our own , oh ...some money would have been nice,..but wasnt expected,..i love them both for all they gave during their lives..enough said..
I knew Burt and he was an asshole. He knew it and relished in it. He would say "4 out of 5 people don't like me and I like it that way." We got along and I steered clear of any financial dealings with him. He lost good friends mixing friendship and money and claimed he was the one getting screwed every time. How Quinton came out as good as he did was more of a testament to his mother than it was Burt. I admired him more than I like him and that is a strange feeling to have about someone. I don't care much for this video as itis misleading. He had provisioned a financial future for his son through a trust fund. Fuck Florida was his motto. He hated and loved it just as he did about a lot of things.

Burt Reynolds was such a nice, mild manner man, that finally did find love, and he deserved it. We all make bad choices in life, but we try to do better. Burt knew this and he later did do better. The man it seemed, only wanted to love someone, and only wanted to receive love back. I am so glad that, if only for a short time he did received this and was happy. His first wife broke his heart, and Loni was just uncaring. Before her, he was happy with DInah, such a beautiful person, Later, he met Sally, the love of his life. I always hoped they stayed together, Sally is such a loving person, I felt she really and truly loved him. Even though he is gone to a better place now, I feel he's kicking back, going over his journal, and reminiscing about, "where did I go wrong, to find happiness later on?" I am happy that he did, at seperate time, with the loves of his life, Dinah Shore, and Sally Fields, two loving and giving women that deserved the best, and they did, with Burt Reynolds, a loving and good man, that finally received the best.

Having a trust does not avoid estate taxes. It avoids probate and the beneficiary of the trust gets the money immediately without having to wait for the will to be probated. It is easier for the beneficiary to inherit through a trust than via a will.

Bobby Bowden was not Burt's football coach at FSU. Bowden didn't come along until 1976 long after Burt's FSU football days ended in the late 1950's due to an injury. Burt and Bowden were just good friends through their mutual FSU connections.

Divorce does not ruin men financially like that. do your research. Burt invested In a restaurant chain that went bankrupt. my question is why he invested in a partnership instead of a corporation. A corporation would have shielded his financial liability
