President Evariste Ndayishimiye visited a facility in Foshan that uses a highly automated incineration process to convert urban waste into electricity, a solution that could help tackle Burundi's waste management challenges. He also toured a hydrogen technology center, showcasing transport vehicles from shared bikes to heavy-duty trucks. With more than 150 companies, Foshan's Nanhai district leads China's hydrogen push.
