you can tell Nathan Brown is loving how awkward his making it between those two hahaha. It's like the old saying though, what happens on the ground stays on the ground.
He did what he Lloyd and his team got up. I am a hawk fan and I hate Essendon but everyone seems to forget dermie putting van der har to sleep and hawthorn getting up that day. Bottom line both clubs hate each other and this was just another chapter.
I saw both the Brown vs Winderlich event and the Lloyd vs Sewell event. Brown's was a complete dog act hitting a skinny kid in the hands of the trainers. Lloyd's was looking to win a hard ball and was very careless. Not comparable. Good to see Brown has grown up though.
Hilarious how Brown repetitively tries to justify why he didn't have a crack at Lloyd whilst on the field. You had your chance mate and you didn't take it. Instead you decided to carry on like a pork chop on the boundary line.
Matthew Lloyd.. hard when he wants to be but will sook up about copping it back.. hated him as a player, but I respect him as a football media personality.
I've always felt that this mentality or lack thereof was my biggest barrier to making in the AFL. At 16 I was 197 cm tall, could run 100 meters in less that 11 seconds and was 90 kg of mostly muscle. I just didnt have the heart/desire to put myself in situations in which I might injure another person. Interesting to hear from a couple of guys that that did naturally have the killer instinct that I lacked.
@@realife1542 I remember hitting a pack going for a mark and absolutely obliterating a defender one day. His squeal reminded me of a baby rabbit right before my dad stepped on it. Hated hurting people and it definitely held me back as I’d get a seriously visceral reaction from it. Not saying I would have made it otherwise or anything
"It's one of those moments that will eventually be forgotten about"...True, because nobody really cares. When people start crapping on about Matthew Lloyd as a hard player, you start to realise how sanitized we've become.
I remember he debuted against Essendon and gave Blake Caracella a bath - a talented senior player in his prime. Brown is a joint B&F winner & All Australian. You're clueless.
There's nothing "manly" about smashing a bloke with no concern for his well being. It's the exact opposite of what u say, I'm glad the game has progressed, obviously you haven't and still think like a teenager. And I'm sure it would b different if ur son ended up concussed on the field wouldn't it?

How good is this? Lloyd on Sewell? As a Hawks supporter, very disappointed. Brad played hard, think he would accept that. disappointing loss al the same.
I hate how they minimise this, I think every hawthorn supporter wanted to personally hurt that fucking jughead Matthew Lloyd that day. I was personally proud of my football club at how we handle that, my blood still fucking boils when I remember that game 😂
That is why he left because he knew he was in trouble Matthew Lloyd could be over 1000 goals he didn't want to leave he just didn't because Hawthorn Football club was going to have is ass the next

I'm Bomber since birth but I would've preferred Sewell left alone....was a ball player and in no way a dog....I was at that game...in a small cluster of about 30 right in the middle of the Hawks sea at their end of the ground....it was about as intense a 10 minutes in the crowd as I can remember in 40+ years of matches....felt lucky to get out intact
