A sideline visit from today’s main visit to the East Lancs Railway is to the Bury Transport Museum.
This lovely museum is a recreated old goods shed, filled with railway and vehicular exhibits. Included was an LMS crab, an Andrew Barclay, and various other quirks and curiosities.
Usually admission is free with a rover ticket, so well worth a visit if you have a bit of time for your train.
