Haha sorry, I should probably change the title... FWIW, I did film it on a 360º camera...AND all the real 360º on-ride videos are available on my channel! :-)
Haha thanks mate! I'll be at Alton Towers hopefully some time in April (looking forward to Wicker Man!) as I bought a season pass last year, so with any luck I might manage to make a video on it..... Give it a share if you liked it :-)
Great video!! This is the best coaster footage I've seen. You've set a new standard for in-person coaster filming, and you've got a great personality to go with it. Kudos!
Thanks mate! Appreciate it. I have (hopefully) lots more of these style of videos coming up, including one already up from my 'home' park, Alton Towers!
cool footage.. i have been watching coasters on youtube since i was 15... im 28 and still addicted to riding and watching coasters.... I have just paused this video halfway through after i started watching and found myself with nearly the same feeling as riding... i nearly screamed, this has made my day!!! thankyou soo much, my first comment on youtube, i dont often see much to comment on, well done!!!! i applaud you!!
Im going there tomorrow with my dad, I was still afraid of rollercoasters a few years back the last time I went. Im super exited to ride them 😄👍 Also cool video I love how you had the camera it made it look like you were flying :)
Exactly how I remembered it I rode Cheetah Hunt, Cobra's Curse, Sheikra, Log Flume, Congo River Rapids, Falcon's fury (Higher than Sheikra!) Busy day there xD
Best costers videos ever. They are so different from same all same all, others. This is the very closest I have felt like being the ride myself, and I have mever gotten in one as I can't overcome the fear of it just, yet. Excellent job.
Great video! You really did a great job showing off all the rides. A shame you couldn't ride sheikra. But maybe come next year and ride sheikra, Tigris, and the new RMC hybrid that will replace the wooden coaster gwazi.
YES! My friend lives in Florida and is already suggesting we go back this year to ride Tigris and Sheikra so maybe we will..... Can't wait for the rebirth of Gwazi too!!
I'm taking my 13 year old daughter the end of July and watching your video has made me even more excited. Great footage! I really enjoyed your video! Great job!
I went to Busch Gardens about two weeks ago and it was so fun it rained but it stopped and a lot of people were gone so me and my family took advantage of that and went on the rides and there were no rides the cheetah one was scary though cause I went at night and it was so fast😂‼️
Great video! I don't live too far from Busch Gardens and I have had an annual pass for many years so I get to go to the park all the time. I'd have to say that Montu is my favorite and Cheetah Hunt is a close 2nd. It's too bad that you missed out on Sheikra & Gwazi. Gwazi was a great wooden coaster but it would literally beat the crap outta me every time I rode it. I would be so sore after riding it. Still miss it though! You should try to go back during Summer Nights or Howl-O-Scream when the park stays open late. Riding Cheetah Hunt at night is a whole different experience!
These clips are awesome! Exactly what I needed to watch before my first visit ever in a few months. Kudos to you for being able to capture those intense shots while under g-force and constant bursts of excitement. 🎢📱👏
So, the camera edits itself out of the picture? How the heck does that thing even work? You go through loops and corkscrews and the horizon stays horizontal! Is that all post-processing or does the camera just do that? Now matter what, it's truly incredible footage. This was so much fun to watch.
Yep, basically it's all in-camera! If you have a selfie-stick it even edits that out so it's like having a 3rd-person camera floating by you as you walk.... Glad you enjoyed it :-)
This is a perfect travel video; super informative, funny, likable hosts, and none of that affected overproduction. I can’t stand the videos where people try too hard to silly and funny. This is just natural and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing! 💕
I have never went to Busch gardens:( but I’m going this week on Friday with my friends! I can’t wait this video makes a great interview about Busch gardens.
Sorry you missed out on Sheikra, and Gwazi closed Feb 1, 2015. They have a great ice skating show and animal show, plus many concerts during the year. From Jan - early March they have real Music Real Masters specialty shows and concerts (Peter Noone herman's Hermits plays a week each year). Look under "Events" tab to see any special events/shows the park has, and also buy a 2 park pass and spend a day over at SeaWorld Orlando and ride Mako and their group of coasters. Currently we have Food & Wine event with weekend concerts line up. Happy trails.....
thanks for the info! Did I mention Peter Noone in my video or was it sheer coincidence that you talked about him because he was performing the week we went! :-) The 2 park pass sounds like a good deal as I'm not terribly interested in going to Sea World but I would like to ride the few coasters they have so hopefully that'll be a good way to lessen the cost a bit.
You said it was January in your video and Peter Noone was there in January. You should had saw his show, very entertaining. Also, your English accent made me think of him. SeaWorld also has great shows (I know most park's shows aren't that good), and when you go you must see the Shamu show and the dolphin and Sea lions shows are good too. Manta is a great flying coaster and now Kraken offers virtual reality googles. It's pretty neat, but I prefer not wearing it. IMO that's makes it like a simulator ride and the roller coaster is the real deal. I just saw the band America on Saturday during their Food & Wine event. It's worth checking the schedule to plan to go during a concert you'd like to see. The 2 park deal is online on the Busch Gardens and SeaWorld websites. It's $99.99 for 2 days, $119.99 3 days, 2 week unlimited to 4 parks for $169.99, which is good if you like water parks too. Spread the word to traveling friends. buschgardens.com/tampa/tickets/multi-park-tickets/ Also, Skieka was down for maintenance. It's Good to check that schedule too. buschgardens.com/tampa/park-info/ride-attraction-schedule/ Should consider coming back next time in late September or October to experience Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens, their night haunted event and ride coasters in the dark. :-) *Last weekend in Sept has low crowds :-) buschgardens.com/tampa/events/howl-o-scream/ A tip for next time. Take the train from near the front of park to back side of park. It will take you through the Serengeti Plain to see the animals which often are close to the tracks. I recommend the sky ride going from back of park to front for a much shorter line.
Thanks for all the tips! yeah I really wanted to ride the train, unfortunately the 40 mins or so we wasted sitting suspended on the sky ride when it broke down meant we didn't have time to fit the train in before the park closed. That's the only disadvantage of visiting in January. Even though the lines are likely shorter, the park hours were only like 10am-5pm or something....
We went on all of the roller coasters sheikra hurt my chest though it was probably the best but cheetah hunt was my favorite by far. I wish Tigris was a longer ride, that was good too.
Seems you had a lot of fun. I can feel it here in Germany. Actually I don't like such videos very much. But your dedication makes my heart move. You did so well in letting play your inner child so much. - Thank you for uploading. I had a great time in watching this video. All the best to you. :)
great footage. your 360 cam really takes your ride videos to a new level. i assume you'll be planning a return US visit with so many great new coasters opening this year and next
Yeah, we thought that too! Though we would've rather had the hour back that we lost in the park, especially when hours were only like 10am-5pm..... :-(
Woohoo 🙌 Awesome video....!!!We can literally feel the rides you guys were on...Soooo thrilling piece of work....Great job...!!! I am from India...!!! This is a great job by you guys....!!! My name is Shailendra Pratap Singh...!!!! I didn't get your names....!!! Love your piece of work guys...!!!!
Sweet. I haven't been to the busch gardens in Tampa but this video makes me wanna go so bad. (Were you holding the camera the whole time?) I would have freaked out from the sky ride stopping 🙄😣😣 Falcons fury look scary but amazing
A few kids from my class and me are going there this spring break. Its for a science field trip so I hope Im gonna have fun. We only have 5 hours there until we have to go to the airport though. Looks like a lot of fun, hopefully the 9 hour flight from Washington will be worth it. By the way, great video!
Love your video! Too bad we couldn’t have warned you to start with the scorpion and the older coasters first and then work your way up to Kumba, Montu etc. Great camera angles. 👍🏻
I would like to go to bush garden and sea world. But universal seems great too. I don't know what to do. There's so much possibility but could't make everything in 6 days.
I recommend universal and bush garden by the way I used to life in Florida an had both annual pases I haven't gone to bush garden since 2016 and universal since 2018
Thanks mate! It's an Insta360 One. They're coming out with an update for improved stabilisation soon, but it's so much easier than carrying a GoPro/gimbal stabiliser around (and I'd never take one of those on a ride anyway!). The only drawback is the audio kinda sucks....
Peanut Turner aye - if it bothers you that much, try wearing a lapel mic plugged into a Dictaphone in your jeans pocket - sync in post. Problem you have tho is you'd want a fluffy "hat" on the mic to reduce wind noise, which isn't subtle to hide lol
Yeah, it's not really even the wind noise that bothers me with this one, just that it's lower quality, but I guess that's why I'll be sticking with my other camera for non-ride stuff.
