In this video we see some buses around Cranbourne in Melbourne's outer southeast. Buses in the area are operated by Cranbourne Transit (the only route operator in the southeast who isn't Ventura) who use a variety of buses including Volvo B10M high floors, Volvo B10BLE & B7RLE low floors, Mercedes Benz O405NH's and Scania L94UB's, K230UB's & K280UB's with Volgren & Gemilang bodies.
This video was filmed shortly after Cranbourne's new bus network was implemented in November 2016, which saw new and extended routes and additional services. To cater for the new routes the company purchased some new Scania K310UB's with Volgren 'Optimus' bodywork, some of these are the first buses in the fleet to wear the orange PTV livery. As a stop-gap measure until the new buses were delivered, the company also purchased some Volvo B10B high floors from Sita Buslines. We see a number of these in the video. These buses have since been transferred to the Mount Buller Buslines operations.
We see buses at Cranbourne's two major bus interchanges; Cranbourne Station and Lyall Street, and some more outside Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre along the South Gippsland Highway.
We then head off to Frankston where we see some more Cranbourne Transit buses on routes 789, 790 & 791. These routes offer a combined 10 minute frequency along Cranbourne Road between Frankston Station and Karringal Hub Shopping Centre. We finish the video at that shopping centre.
