I listened to it when my father died and I was 22. He was suffering so much, he had cancer. I was working that day and his doctor called me on the phone because she knew the end was coming soon. I was traveling like 3 hours to the hospital in fear. This song kept the soul in me. I had the opportunity to say goodbye, the next morning he left this world forever. Any number of times I hear it tears well up in my eyes and pop-ups that state of mind. Somehow I still love it. It helps me stay humble and respect the life that is given for this little time.
Wow incredible I had the same. I listened to this song when my father was in the hospital and I think his soul went on Saturday when I was in the car playing this song The following Tuesday we stopped the machines and he passed away.
I hear you-this song was playing when I heard a dear friend had died and and I always listen when I want to connect with him-that was about 22 years ago..
I was 18 weeks in Hospital near to death on a few occasions I used to play this at night when I could not sleep it was something that kept me alive as I am desperate to see it performed live
'Without music in one's soul, one is never able to love, never able to see the truth as it really is, never to be able to see god and to be a friend of god, and thereby to live...' Plato. So, yeah, on good authority. Not that you needed it!! LOL Of course, I agree with you too.
This remix did a major justice to this song. I never thought Bush had the chops to make a song like this. Wow! Often record labels release the worst on an album and we get to dig for the best.
probably for author's rights or publishing, same here on YT for example "Beyond the Time" Ambient Mix not let it play, but on Spoty or SoundCloud the song is full
What an affecting song... And for a static picture to accompany it, this works amazingly well: the fences, the empty benches, the calm, dusky, impenetrable fog with gentle misty lights leading on to infinity... the two together, just perfect. Very nice, thanks.
You in the dark, you in the pain You on the run Living a hell, living your ghost Living your end Never seem to get in the place that I belong Don't wanna lose the time, lose the time to come Whatever you say, it's alright Whatever you do, it's all good Whatever you say, it's alright Silence is not the way We need to talk about it If heaven is on the way If heaven is on the way You in the sea On a decline Breaking the waves Watching the lights go down Letting the cables sleep Whatever you say, it's alright Whatever you do, it's all good Whatever you say, it's alright Silence is not the way We need to talk about it If heaven is on the way We'll wrap the world around it If heaven is on the way If heaven is on the way I'm a stranger in this town I'm a stranger in this town I'm a stranger in this town If heaven is on the way If heaven is on the way I'm a stranger in this town I'm a stranger in this town
There are a few amazing people here. We, our little circle of thought and intention. As much as this is said it is true, because we see the true beauty within this song.
i wanna go to Cafe del mar in Ibiza, sit on one of those comfy beach couches, order a frozen Corona, light a joint up and believe that God is such a good guy
I heard this song in a rock bar, which was weird, but I never knew the original, so in a way it made sense. Brilliant version, although I am aware that this is not the original version, I love it more.
