Love those gloves. First pair I had for years and wore holes in them. Use them for every kind of work and camp outdoors. They just get better fitting over time too.
Hi Andy. My wife have enjoyed your videos for about 2 years now. I do some myself but not at your standard. You have my subs. Keep up the great videos. Appreciate all the work that goes into making them. Grays
I have used these for years! If I am outside working on the farm, cutting wood, or if I am out in the brush, I will have a pair of these on. Thanks for the link....I am due to order another couple of pairs. Thanks!
Congratulations on the new channel. I certainly enjoy Kent Survival your main channel. Love to see what other reviews you have. Thanks again for the videos.
LOVE Wells Lamont leather gloves. I have used the same model (and a good few pairs) over the years. I cleaned mine with leather cleaner and kept them soft with leather conditioner. Mine were subjected to hours of heavy use at a time, in landscaping projects and in brushing out woodland, so I needed two pairs a year.
I have been wearing these gloves for 35 years!! Best Damned glove You can get for all around use. Stop Buying the half cotton half leather Gloves, these are what You want! Nuff said. Just Bought a pair today at Wally World for ten Bucks
Hi Andy. Good luck with the new channel. I enjoy your main channel and this channel looks to be a good format for equipment review. Looking forward to watching more.
I use the rigger gloves that I "borrow" from work, so these can't really beat them for price, but I've been looking for some that offer better dexterity, these look like they fit the bill. Good review too, straight to the point, no faffing around.
Just subscribed to this channel Andy, always enjoy your main channel they are so well made, and I love the cooking videos, good luck with this new venture, and looking forward to seeing more, all the best you mate!
nice, looking forward to seeing how you pommies look after your dutch ovens, here in South Africa we have been using something similar for hundreds of years and it is very important how to clean them and store them away for later usage, rust is the enemy !
Definately harden up with age, but I still can't kill this old pair I have. Highly recommended glove. Good luck with your new channel. Subbed and belled up Sir.
Subscribed to this one too. Grats on the new channel. Wells Lamont are about the easiest gloves of that time to find here, and about the most cost effective. They'll last a long time and aren't terribly expensive. amvb
I got a new pair of those, used them for cutting and splitting firewood. Wore through the finger in no time. They are not tough enough for real work, very soft, unless you want to get a new pair often.
Great video and a fine start to the new channel. Congrats. Only observation would be to add some size and fit details, having bought supposedly 'Large' sizes in the past only to find they are pretty much meant for an Action Man figurine when they arrive LOL. Keep up the superb work.
Have been using Wells Lamont gloves as long as I can remember. If you can find them, I think the deerskin are the best. I rub them with mink oil every 6 months or so, and they last for years.
Yup. I buy 'em by the 3-pack ($15-20 USD) and keep a pair in every kit and vehicle. Hit them with a little neatsfoot oil or Vaseline every once in a while to keep them supple. Take care, Andy.
I'm subbed to your other channel. Thanks for doing the channel for reviews. I think this was best for you Andy. Also I wanted to say something that I spotted in your review. That right handed glove ring finger has a hole in it. Keep up the good work sir!!
hi i like the new channel like the strat to the point format and a quick intro some intros are nearly as long as the video so keep up the good work they are great and have subed
Hi Andy as your doing a product channel ,would you share with us ,which computer you use to edit your videos,on and the software I for one would love to know, Cheers
Hey, have you thought about doing reviews for the rest of your clothing? Looking for a good pair of camp pants. Is it advisable to get zip off that turn into shorts?
Ive actually been looking for some of these and having trouble coming across them in stores. I continue to search. Good starter video cant see what else ur goin to bring to the table(campsite)
Over the years I tried fancier gloves and they don't last as long ass Wells Lamont. Certainly cheaper gloves don't last long. Quality may have varied on different models over the years.since I first started wearing them 35 years ago. First I heard of a bush crafter wearing work gloves. Some "young bucks" seem to think gloves are not required when working. Use to work in fruit production -research, construction, and a little forestry., found gloves were essential on many jobs.
The reviews on Amazon are a bit mixed. Some about short fingers, stitching coming apart, thin leather wearing through after 4 used stacking wood, brambles going through too easily. Still, they've worked for you so as long as you're happy with them but I wouldn't buy them after reading what I did. Good video all the same. Now get the rest up! 😉
Is there anyway you can support a local reseller of the glove? Amazon suck money out of communities, you could help to put money back into communities? Great gloves! (Bushcraft and Amazon don't really go together?)
I’ve been through ten pairs of these gloves o er the last three years. The first sets were great; really thick leather that took a day to break in. Since then the quality seems to have gone slowly downhill. The leather used on the later sets appears second grade, like suede. It!s quite pointless to have reinforced Palme when the soft leather on the fingers develop holes. As they are made in China now I assume they are trading on their name. I have given up on them and have ordered a pair of the new Wells Lamont gloves with water resistant leather palms and man made rears..
