So sorry to hear about you wasp encounter Frosty. I usually try to carry some ibuprofen or benadryl. The benadryl in particular will reduce the allergic reaction you get from wasp and bee stings. Hang in there bro. Stay Frosty.
The moment I saw you playing with your dog is the moment I subscribed. Your video was real and down to Earth. Hopefully the wasps will stay away from you from now on. Great video.
Glad the entire Wasp Nest did not swarm you, probably the only time you would beat Tref in a race, luckily many forest wasps live a solitary existence. At least when you get home and the wife states are you listening to me? Just say... Thank-You Mr. Wasp. Cheers!!
I love the homemade drill Frosty, that's a good bit of kit. Great vlog as usual, thanks for taking the time and effort to share. Trev is a hell of a dog, I mean, as good as the steak looked, finding a dog that likes chilly, is rare ! I love the blowpipe for getting the fire started, I was a bit sceptical at first, a few videos back, but it works great. Puno hvala, Diolch yn fawr.
Thanks man! Tref is.... special. Yeah, when I got it I was "well that's stupid" at first but now I love it. Weight nothing and gets any fire going in no time. Even in BBQ or when roasting a lamb :)
Awesome video as always my friend. I got stung by a nasty wasp 🐝 on my lip just the other day. Little bugger was in my beer 🍺. Lol thanks for sharing brother stay safe. 👍🏕🔥
Brilliant video mr frosty love your ideas around camp and your homemade bushcraft tools and ideas 💡 I once drunk a wasp 🐝 that landed in my beer can it was very scary it stung the back of my tongue I was very lucky not to choke really painful 😣 🥹😁keep up the great work 💪🏴👍🔥🥩🍺🍺
Thanks Paul! Yeah, that sounds scary. My friend swallowed a bee and it stung him in his throat while we were biking. He had to cycle 20 miles to the ER, that frightened me to the core.
Hello Frosty, at first glance it wasn't your day with the little mishaps. But never mind: what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Nice that you mastered the tour. At 22:12., Tref also suffered briefly because he didn’t know whether you would give him anything 😀. All the best and love from Germany to you both, Selfmade.👍
Hey Frosty, you crack me up… back in the last century when I was in Girl Scouts, when we’d get bit by wasps or horse flys we were taught to dig up some soil, spit on it and put the mud pack on the bite. Then when I saw your Guinness, I thought maybe some of that on your bites might have helped. Your dinner looked wonderful… yum… love your attitude when things go wrong. You take it all in stride make a couple of jokes hug on Tref and laugh and play! So much fun!💞
Thanks for the advice. I've been listeting to that teory since my childhood but never found any proof, from what I've read the spawn root system is so large and complex that surface part doesn't really matter. I could be whong though. Thanks and cheers from Croatia!
Oh man that stump stove was perfect! Couple of months back I brought myself that lug screw. Need to try to make a Swedish fire torch with it. Would come in handy for future for sure. :D Anyway great adventure as always. Glad you stood strong agains wasp :D
Thanks man! I need to make wider one for stools and things like that, Sweedish fire included. This one's 16mm, I think it shluld be a least 40mm. But I'll tell you what, it takes some elbow grease to make few holes. Not as easy as it looks.
Hi Mr.Frosty another good video with another content good going sir, triff is as good, active and healthy as always, good to see you both sir.I always watched you stinged by mosquitoes and now 🐝 s sir, if there are any truly working mosquitoe repellent or any creams make sure to add them sir. Also triff is always biting sticks may be triffs teeth will be affected,I know you are the owner and triffs buddy and you know the best for triff sir,its just my small concern and suggestion sir.If I crossed any line sorry sir. Always looking forward to your happy Frosty videos sir.
Thanks! There are good repellents for mosquitoes and ticks but I don't think there are for wasps :) Don't worry, their teeth can chew thru antlers and bones do sticks are nothing to worry about. Thanks for the comment!
How is your ear and other areas where you were stung? I am so allergic and it made me cringe! I hope by now that you are feeling much better! You are one of my favorites. Please take care. Greetings from Arkansas USA!
Hi Zoe! Yeah, plain homemade olive oil and some dried chilli. I let it sit at least 6 months. Woods are full of penny buns, we already dried a bunch amd froze few packages :)
@@frostys_bushcraft we've not got many about here yet.. I will be foraging as soon as they turn up! I'm going to have to make some chilli oil myself now, wasn't sure if you used fresh or dried chilli.
Pozzz
Not gonna help me with wasps :( I'm actually waiting on one of those electric insect repellent gadgets (with repellent pads) to try out. Don't really like putting anything on my skin.
Insect repellent won't help with wasps. Most likely the were the ground dwelling type. The come out of they're nests in the ground and attack..they don't stop to see how you smell.
Thanks! It's 5/8 and 10" long. Need to make another one at 1 3/16 for making chairs and stronger stuff... thinking about making a small log cabin/shelter.
Seems like we have become a society of lazy people tied to a world of virtual reality feeling entitled. Use to be when the going got tough, the tough got going. Now when the going gets tough we need safe spaces. Bushcraft skills replaced with ordering on Amazon. In the real-world history often repeats itself. With the way the economy is going and the road feckless leaders are leading us down I fear we are going to be in for a bumpy ride. Not everyone is going to go out and survive in the wild. However, it is important that bushcraft skills such as yours are shared with others. You never know when they may come in handy. Something as simple as pegging two logs together is something the average person can do with just a little know how. Love your videos and your dog!
Great video as usual! Hey in my subscribers list check out (MY OWN FRONTIER) YOSEMITE, YELLOWSTONE, SEQUOIA, GRAND CANYON,ALASKA ect, grizzly encounters dude frickin Nutts up vigorously barefooted at times deep into uncharted territory for days at a time you dig watching his videos.
@@frostys_bushcraft yeah I bought it on Amazon. A little difficult at first charging it (unscrew end cap 1/4 turn) when charging but after that no problem. I like the heft and the different light features firefly and color modes especially red around camp. Seems to be 💣 proof…
I don't know why you need to turn the tailcap to charge it but it's really not an issue, defenitely better than those USB ports that let water in and get torn or damaged after few uses. Otherwise they're quality built. Only ones I know of that have double o-rings. Red light really helps with insects.
