I didn't realize how many bears were actually around us until editing this footage. See how many you can find in the background!
Join my friends Ross, Casey and I, as we set out on a multiple day adventure to the remote island known as Prince of Whales, Alaska. Our goal was to explore different rivers and search for amazing salmon fishing. 100% self guided and self filmed, this video shows an authentic experience of how we learn new rivers and find fish in unfamiliar waters. In this video, we were primarily float fishing with centerpin reels, but we also casted spinners as well.

Another awesome video! How do you know how deep to set the float when float fishing for salmon?

I always change my depths. Salmon will suspend a lot of times. Typically I’ll set my float until I start dragging bottom (you’ll know you are on bottom when the float leans sideways and constantly goes down while drifting). Once I find bottom, I’ll set it so it’s just off then go from there. It’s always a good idea to run shallow first though, maybe 2-4’ deep. Hope this helps👍
