Bushwrapz Advance paint protection Film (PPF). Long term review, now over 1 year!
Are Bush wraps worth the money? Yes! Absolutely. Do they actually work? Yes, mine have seen some abuse and still come up silky smooth and scratch free. Do they actually heal themselves and dissolve scratches in the sun? Surprisingly yes.
When we first decided to buy our Nissan Y62 patrol I knew I needed to do something to look after it more that my past 4wds. After all this is the most expensive car I’ve ever owned. And quite possible the nicest even with its dated interior.
I looked at temporary magnetic options and quickly decided they were not the right decision for me. Mainly because I know if I see a track I want to drive I’m doing it right then and there, not putting it on a list to eventually do when I have protection on. The Bushwrapz PPF kits are set and forget, once they’re on you always have that piece of mind that your paint is protected.
Here we are 1 year in, so how are they going? Absolutely perfectly! They do exactly what they claim. I have never had a 4wd this shiny, clean and scratch free. Especially after over 12 months, in actual fact it is almost a year and a half now.
Of course with every new 4wd there is the honeymoon period where you naturally baby it and look after it more than you normally would. This is well and truly over now. We push our Patrol in to places we shouldn’t and actually use it as a 4wd like it was built for.
We have done many of tight pin stripe causing tracks in the y62 now and I can confidently say we have no pin stripes on the Patrol, well at least the parts that have Bushwrapz protecting them. The scratches we have picked up over the trips and tracks have all self-healed and disappeared like Bushwrapz claim.
I had one of my biggest stuff ups on my last trip collecting a roughly 8cm branch on the passenger side of the car. While this did crease the panels on the big girl the paint damage is only in the areas that were not covered by the Bushwrapz.
I was absolutely amazed after cleaning the Patrol to see only minimal marks on the Bushwrapz PPF. I can most definitely say with confidence that the Bushwrapz Advance PPF film works perfectly and is worth every cent to guarantee the protection of your 4wd.
