So if your parents were emotionally abusive we unwittingly fall for people who are emotionally abusive to us even though that might not be consciously what we seek. I don't know what kind of childhood Pinky had but she perhaps internalized the fact that it's ok to not be the one chosen, it's okay to be second best, it's okay to accept the bare minimum and engaging in a relationship with an older man at a young age (if I'm interpreting it correctly) she decided that that's all she was worth and ran with it and eventually capitalised on it. No judgement from me for any of the parties, it's just interesting to analyse.
