I like that flap/speed management on this approach, looks perfect with 21nm - clean man., 13nm - flap 20 |180kts, 6-7nm - gear down, flaps on schedule. Even though it's not exactly as FCOM preferred plate, but works much better
How do you change vAC speed other than cyan manual in REF and magenta calculated in CDU, is there an wind/gust additive you can add to an existing one?
Hello komrad1983, thanks for your question! I have not yet come across the concept of adding wind/gust factors to the VAC (Approach Climb Speed). In most companies the procedures will mandate an add-on to the VREF instead. On the Challenger 605, pilots can manually change the speeds (cyan) in the REFS menu, however most people I know keep the speeds as calculated by the FMS (magenta) & just place the speed bucket (or bug) at the corrected speed.
@@flightrob thank you. It's definitely an interesting type. One from all I know where you have to keep Apu for takeoff and landing and one with all the hassle with 10th and 14th stages. Especially fun when you have to descend and use wing anti ice in order for which N2 has to be higher than yellow band. I'm studying this type using cl650 from hotstart, which is pretty exact and watching all your videos. I think you should get more views if you have an angle where you can see PFD and MFD clearly like in this one. At least for me it is more interesting than the outside)
