Thanks you for showing some of the faces of regular people who were targeted by this illegal order. When the governor exempted private security from the order she created a denial of constitutionally protected rights on the basis of socioeconomic status. Wealthy individuals were allowed to still be protected with guns in public by their bodyguards and large corporations were still allowed to have their assets protected in public by armed private security, all while middle and working people with concealed handgun licenses were turned into criminals by the “governor” if they did the same. Denial of rights based on socioeconomic status is not just a disgusting breach of public trust by an elected official, it’s patently illegal under state and federal law. The “governor” needs to be impeached and criminally prosecuted.

Maybe the governor would be wise to just make sure existing laws on the books are strictly enforced against criminals. And punishment is severe enough.
The United States Supreme Court has ruled at least three times that the police have absolutely no duty to protect the individual. So who is supposed to protect you? You. You are your own protection and your own first responder. The state has no ability to take that right from you.

The Minutemen format is the "militia" being referenced, and the Minutemen were literally every armed citizen. 2 well regulated in 18th century English (the only proper diction to interpret the Constitution because that's when it was written) meant in working order. She openly admitted that she knew her unlawful decree would not stop any criminals. So basically she is openly mocking her Citizens to their faces and openly telling them that she knows she is only making them defenseless and she simply DOES NOT CARE.
The governor should be more concerned with the substance abuse problem in the the state due to greater availability of drugs coming across the open border. That’s a public health problem that is most pressing.
She also committed two state crimes, violating her oath of office and state law that prohibits restrictions on the right of NM residents to utilize guns for their protection.

Grisham is a former public health nurse; she thinks she's still a nurse and said that public health can apply to guns, transgender... anything she wants it to. Banning guns was presented as a public health problem.

That's not true.. there are MANY cases of citizens deactivating criminals.. the news just doesn't make as big a deal out of it as they do the bad guys.

What happens when a criminal enters the building with a concealed gun and puts her at gunpoint before she can reach her gun? Now they know she has a gun, thanks to that handy little sign in the window, and they'll be taking it, making them twice as dangerous. A concealed weapon is only effective as long as it REMAINS concealed, which means not advertising it like an idiot. But then that's the issue, only idiots would have allowed things to get this bad in the first place.

Download and read the Sheriff's handbook, It's full of great information on your rights as a citizen. And the Sheriff's department is the only branch of law enforcement that can arrest any government official for breaching the Constitution. After you read that handbook, you will have new love and respect for your County Sheriff's dept. They're the only thing that stands between us and tyrannical government overreach, as we have just witnessed.

Is this really a developed country issue? Afghanistan or Somalia are expected to have such issues. No one heard such issues from Europe, Japan or even China. One can strike up a friendship with other Women who own firearms - with a goal in mind just to learn about them and the various types of Firearms -ie; Rifles, Shotguns, and Revolvers, and Pistols. All guns are tools and inanimate objects - they have to have a human component to be aimed or even just fired. Safety is the Most Important Part of Learning about Guns - Safety First Always. Just learning about Firearms does not mean or equate to being a firearms owner - as one can learn about all sorts of interesting activities, tools, and how-to-do's even on the internet. Just learning about firearms will take away unreasoning fear - which some people do have either due to political conditioning or peer pressure, or some combination there of. A Gun Safety Course is helpful also. Just owning a gun does not make one a violent person, but one does have to be conscious of the responsibilities for the safe handling of any firearm type. Next guns are noisy so good hearing protecting is a must. Next, there are plenty of non-Lethal Pistols that use Capsicum or Red Pepper balls that are CO2 Powered and generally effective to stop an attack or confuse an attacker to allow one to run away to safety. Look on line or a sporting goods store. On line you can pick up some good tips regarding self defense, or visit a Martial Arts Studio for tips. Among the most important things to consider are situational awareness - that is not placing ones self in situations that contribute to being in a danger zone, and being aware of one's surroundings constantly. These comments of mine are meant for YOU, however are applicable for any one - men or women - and a reminder not to be fearful or live in fear - for knowledge is power in itself.
52% of the people in that state voted for her. They got what they voted for and now it is up to the people decide what they want to do with the Governor. If they don't, more 'laws' will be passed by this governor without a vote and it may come down to the courts to decide which can be very scary since most Governors can appoint judges.

Many small businesses cannot afford the cost of private security. We pay taxes for police protection, then have to hire private security? What's wrong with this picture???
