The kids come across as very grounded and well spoken. Mom sounds like she might have been a teacher in the public system. She is very organized. Kudos to this family!
She's very intelligent and that shows. I'd be curious to know if you are right about her being an educator, but something tells me she isn't mainly because she is so rational and non-indoctrinated.
This is a great build and a wonderful family. Kudos to the both of for raising such great kids. The world needs more of them. Love everything about your family and your home. Travel safe.
@@ionutboghean6883 So true. My sister is homeschooling her kids. I thought at first she was crazy until I've seen how far ahead of most kids their age they all are, both intellectually and socially. My oldest nephew graduated at 17 with bachelor's degree from an accredited state college along with his diploma and has a great job already. His goal is home ownership by 21.
I met a couple who raised their 3 children on a sail boat many years ago and I said the exact same thing...I think about these children from time to time in this crazy world we live in today
My wife, parents and I toured this families bus while they were still in northern Utah close to where we live. It was the final push for us to finally buy a bus to start converting. That was probably February of 2021. Now we have our own bus that is getting closer and closer to being livable.
Totally go for it! We did a similar bus build. Our family of 11 sold our huge house and traveled full-time for a year. Great adventures! I'm so excited for you!
It's much nicer than I anticipated. The step stool is genius. He could easily market it. Seems like a wonderful family. Such a great way to grow up. Great work. I wish them all of the best to come, and safe travels.
This bus is stunning. The colors the furnishings the incredible design great use of space is just perfect. Also, this has to be one of my favorite family profiles. The parents seem to be loving, deliberate, and down-to-earth, and you can tell that they’re working to raise their children with those same qualities, all while encouraging their individuality. Both parents are obviously well organized and creative. The father is incredibly inventive and very handy. The entire family exudes a kind quiet intelligence. I could go on and on about all of the positivity that I see in this short video, but for now I’ll just say that they seem to have all the tools for success. I wish them all safe travels and a wonderful life.
Thank you for all of your kind words. Videos like these give a romanticized view of things. Don’t get me wrong, it is an amazing lifestyle but it takes a lot of work and sacrifice. We by no means have everything figured out but we are trying the best we can. We wish you the best of luck through your trials and victories and whatever dreams you may have. Thanks again for being so kind.
Really good use of space for such a large family! When my children were young, I hated that I didn’t get to spend much time with them and had to work to make ends meet. I love ❤️ seeing families on the road sharing space and experiences. It brings them such close bonds and they learn they have to work out problems quickly. Great job 👏!!!
One of the nicest kitchen/dining areas I’ve ever seen on a bus. It’s beautiful and while I don’t think me and my kids can ever do this- one can dream! 😅
The oldest teen has the dopest room!!! The butterfly room door is so sick! Imagine, all you need is a digital projector and PlayStation lol As a kid I’d never leave my space 🤣🤣🤣
These parents are great problem solvers, a trait that will serve their children well as they become well adjusted adults. What a lovely team. As for the snake, I'm glad he's in the basement so to speak. LOL. Beautiful, inspirational family with a lovely, cozy, sweet home.
Another great family story. Yes, it is difficult to not be with your friends. However, I moved several times during childhood and what I remember about friends was that I made them wherever I went. It is a skill I still use. Doesn't mean it wasn't painful at times but there was no internet at the time so all I could do was write letters. I'm still in touch with friends from 50 years ago now and it's great! So stay close to those friends as best you can and never stop making new ones. What a wonderful family you have.
These kind of things look really fun but I do think that parents should consider the kind of long term damage that could be occurring to their children's backs and spines due to the fact that they can't even sit up straight, let alone stand, in their bedrooms. These kids are obviously spending down time in their rooms and having their necks and backs constantly bent for long periods of time can be quite damaging in the long term.
I've seen this house before on another channel recently and I loveeee the bedroom that acts like a basement!!! And the sofa/table idea I just wow- so big brain! Also I love how Jenna structures her videos!!
That's what I was thinking as well. As I was watching I thought to myself this family looks familiar and after reading your comment I realized it because I've seen them before.
@@eggizgud Since this is a tour bus, the room area can open up but you've made a good point right there... Also thank you guys so much for the likes on my comment :))
Love this design. The table is awesome. Splitting up the bathroom was smart. I moved all the time when I was a kid. And felt sorry for the kids stuck in the same house, in the same place all their lives! This looks a lot easier than changing houses.
You guys are amazing parents and you can tell how much you share and spend with the kids and conversations, because they are so well spoken , I love your home , you all did a great job!
MOM is so,so,so, pretty and she looks so young. Hudson is so articulate and he's only 7. I LOVE it. They are all so articulate. Great parenting! I love you guys. Thanks Jenna. Once again, great content!
What an awesome family you are!!!!!!!! Your bus is beautiful ~ every single detail of it, you all did a great job!!!! Nothing comes close to the unbelievable adventures your children will always remember ~ this is the BEST education any child could have. Sending you light, love, peace, joy and abundance always. I love you.
Your 13 year old son was so honest and well spoken I think you’re doing such an amazing job raising your kids! So articulate and intelligent….so much more than kids I see who go to public traditional schools….even my own. My oldest is home schooled for ersonal reasons. But if I could’ve raised my children this way I would in a heartbeat!
What great well spoken, intelligent kids. You should be very proud of this awesome gift your giving your kids & yourselves. May God bless & safe travels. 👍🙏🤗
Probably not with the parents I was born to (and the fact I'm a solo kid), but seeing the kids' bunks looks like that would have been something I would have really dug on. I did travel EXTENSIVELY, but this looks like such a wonderful family life. These guys worked really hard and it's so gratifying seeing this family enjoying the unconventional path they've forged together🥰
What a Beautiful Family!!! With a Great Attitude 👍 Very well thought out and alot of unique ideas, along with towing the car along. Thanks for sharing, your and Awesome Family! God Bless You ❤
I really believe that living in close quarters fosters great relationships.🥰 This family is the perfect example of that notion.🤩 Kudos to them for taking the "leap" as Lucas said.👏❤️👏💜 It also is a great plus to have handy and crafty people to make the small space unique and beautiful🙌
@@AldoTxApache That’s not necessarily true. I was raised in a two bedroom one bath house with mom dad and five siblings. We grew up just fine and still keep in close contact with each other.-Susan
They keep referring to the children taking a sacrifice. They didn’t make a sacrifice. They didn’t get a choice. You made that decision for them which is fine but don’t try and twist it.
Oh my gosh I love that guy‘s purple bedroom and that his dad made a really cool stool that folds down and back up. And that bedroom under the bus cool. 🦋💜💕 Great video thank you.
This family brings a smile to my face. Wholesome and loving is what comes to mind. The oldest having his own bedroom downstairs is a stroke of genius!! The 13 year old was talking about how he missed his friends but that there was so much that he got to experience and all I could think of was how jealous his friends would be of the freedom to explore the country that he has. Just a really great tour and family God bless guys!
Wow - what a great home they've made for the entire family! I was really impressed with all 6 of them. I wish them many more good years of travel in that wonderful bus. Smiles, here....
This is one of the best bus conversions I’ve seen! Very well planned & designed with a lot of clever, innovative ideas to make the most of not only the space but also very practical solutions for a large family, ie. the downstairs bedroom for the oldest son & great cabinetry designs that are so smart as well as beautiful! Kudos on a job very well done!! 👍👍
We are a family of 5 and we put all our stuff in storage over a year ago and have been traveling all over the US. We had a very traditional life and covid gave us the opportunity to do this. Yes it is a bit of a sacrifice to live nomadically, but it's been an adventure and I figure the kids have the rest of their lives to live traditionally
We had the same thoughts. We all have plenty of time to accumulate things - but we have a very small window of opportunity to make some very important memories and have these experiences together as a family.
Hands down the most amazing tiny home I think I’ve seen yet on YT. Those kids are going to be so well-rounded and so full of experience. I would have loved to have grown up in that traveling atmosphere.
wow! what a cool and clever set up! And I was blown away abot the simplicity of the dinning room table conversion ! But the little bathroom step stool is really clever!
I love Gus Gus ! You all have done a great job with the bus. I love the whole bus. kitchen, colouring bathroom, all the innovative features, and that down stairs bedroom rocks! Good luck with your journey. 😁🤩
This video has helped in so many ways. My husband and I have a three year plan to save for, buy, and renovate a bus to live in with our now 11 year old daughter. The kids input has helped me realize this is the best decision! My daughter is very excited for our future transition and has offered to save allowance money to help with the financial aspect of things. She like Lucas is sad to eventually leave friends behind but excited for new friends and amazing opportunities.
Old style family living! Love it. Some of my favorite memories are road trips as a family. Being able to do that 24/7 and meet such a diverse number of people builds great character. I hope they follow up as years go by on how this works with older kids.
I'm here bc l was totally intrigued to see the oldest bdrm, & lm so glad l did.... I would hv nvr thought to mk tht a bdrm & the access point to get in & out of his rm is mind-blowing... Tht is ingenious Happy Travels
So impressed with your design and organization....love how you are raising your kids to be goal oriented and not hooked on electronics. Didn't see any of them with a phone in hand. Very impressed. They are so well rounded and happy. Just awesome how you are parenting and investing your time with your kids.
The place is amazing especially the kitchen but i do think curtains to divide the childrens sleeping area will benefit them lots just so they feel more of a private space.
What a wonderful experience for your kids. It’s amazing how much you’ve packed into that space and made it quite comfy. Great job Jenna. Thank you from out in California💜🤟🏻😎🍀🇺🇸🇺🇦🕊
Nice. I really like the layout and the innovations that have been included, like the table and the fold up chair. The way that every bit of usable space has been utilized is really cool to. Altogether a great Bus is your Gus 👏👍😃
Enjoyed this video. Especially liked hearing how each child individualized their space from their point of view. Father is so creative/talented in woodworking and finding storage solutions. Kitchen has prep space! Where did they find space for all of kids’ clothes, too? Composting toilet solution was interesting. Escalating gasoline costs would threaten any budget, let alone for a bus! I came from family of 6 and living in a cramped bus would not have been my ideal, yet this family seems to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing a tour of your home!
Wow, such a cool and hip family. The Bus is so amazing, great custom features. The kids are the best, with their individual bunks, their positive outlook, and spirit of loving life. May your journey bring you all lots of joy. I'm kinda jealous
🤗Really like the table and open windows and kitchen space. The bunk spaces are things I relate to. I lived with my bedroom being an upper bunk space till I was fourteen. I also like the (basement) space. I still find I like a more closed in sleeping space and a bigger kitchen/living workspace. I remember every time we wanted to get something we had to weigh the idea of where we would keep it, and if we would need to give something else away in order to free up that space, and, what would that something be. 😊
Loved how you are living in a small but unique environment. Family members learn to get along and respect each others space. Love you have let the Lord be your guide. This is a great adventure.carson
