As someone that has lived in NJ my entire life, I can't stand the mentality towards off-roaders. It simply amazes me. We are treated like absolute shit and chased out of everywhere while they close down the only legal places to ride. Weird how hippy naturalist places like California have figured out how to benefit environmentally and Financially by working with off roaders instead of making it a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
Fuck yea! Fuck those pigs! And to think, this entire country is on stolen land! What the fuck is a few quads a bikes hurting some dirt and sand!? And the worse part is these places are better than the pay to ride places!
You are dealing with LIE-beral govt mentality! First and foremost you are having FUN WITHOUT paying any special fees or taxes! Such cheap fun must be cancelled immediately since LIE-berals need all the tax money and fees they can get to BUY VOTES! Second all LIE-berals desire to END the use of fossil fuel for ANY REASON and you will be flouting their desire by continuing to enjoy gasoline fueled outings! Clearly you MUST be discouraged from riding your gas powered "environment killer" for the good of the LIE-beral community! After all, LIE-berals have decided that we should have ELECTRIC POWERED EVERYTHING because govt has a near monopoly - along with certain unions and friendly corporations - on the production of electricity! IT IS GOOD FOR LIE-beral pocket books for you to go electric! Be a Patriot - sell your soul to the LIE-berals TODAY!
lots of people in the comments complaining about hippies this and we are treated like trash that. ive been through the pine barrens and state parks enough to have seen a ridiculous amount of trash, graffiti, and general disregard for the trails and property to understand why NJ is shutting down a ton of trails. the only people to blame are fellow offroaders who simply have no regard to maintain the trails and the land owners can either pay to maintain the trails, or close the trails......and we can see which option they are going with. maybe if offroaders didnt tear up the trails and dump their garbage everywhere we could all freely enjoy the pines
If they OPENED the area to ALL people they could generate a LOT MORE revenue because people that DON'T PAY to use this type of facility WOULD DO SO if they were PERMITTED to.
State parks are not run by the “Feds” it is run by the state, therefore those are most likely State LE. The problem is not LE, the problem is the stupid laws Jersey has.
For around a year here in New Brunswick RU students have had road and sidewalk legal electric scooters for rent available, we can rent also but we couldnt ever possess any ebikes, ecooters, eunicycle, 3&4 wheelers. Police even had segways years ago, we couldnt. We gotta go deep woods Snake Mountain or Farrington Lake to dirtbike/quad.
I don't live back there but have ridden with a couple local guys in Brendan T. State. Best to stick to tight single track and keep it moving in my experience but agree, don't be a dick
Years ago found nice fishing spot in public setting. I never knew wasn't supposed to fish there. Other people started fishing there. Weeks later. Fishing line, and lures in trees. Months later. Plastic six pack holders, and trash all along the shore. Not even a year later. Police started writing tickets. Always seems the way. I can't believe the videos I see of people leaving trails to create their own. And I am sure these police are not exaggerating. There is always someone who would destroy a Good thing.
@@bellyacre1 yeah i had some gem spots i rode off 46 for a few years. Each time i went back it got worse and worse especially with instagram. The cops used to let me do my thing long as i was sober and gave no trouble but now its all posted and game over. We all know how to ruin a good thing sometimes
Is that Mt. Misery out near Chatsworth?...... It looks identical to it. We used to camp right there where the cops stopped you. If that's the spot I'm thinking of. All out near the cranberry bogs. It's a great spot. Or at least it used to be. But that's like 20yrs ago and more... We used to bring our quads as well. We'd bring the trailer and head out there for a weekend, tents and all.
My 5yr old andI went here today and I pressed my 4Runner a little to gain some speed and cop pulled up behind me and said he will impound my vehicle if I'm caught speeding again. I think I was at 25mph...I would rather go to Rausch Creek Park in the future
My favorite is how "people getting hurt" is always the excuse. Shit happens and it can happen anywhere doing anything. People get hurt driving cars and they aren't shutting down the roads🤦
Theyve still yet to provide any data on all these people getting hurt or wildlife destroyed. Atvs and utvs can go in and out of hunting trails all year but the second a dirtbkke does it, its harmful and dangerous. Such a dumb state
It’s a double edged sword man. They make us afraid to stop because we will Lose our bikes or pay thousands in fines yet the ones of of who run are seen as disrespectful towards the law and give us a worse name..... it’s bullshit we can’t ride legally anywhere
this is the reason alot of off riders taken their atv/dirt bikes to the streets, as long as we not allow to ride off road then we just ride on the road, have fun catching us. i have 6 register atv and dirt bikes in PA, my money goes to PA, they deserve the money to fund for nature, they have great areas to ride and camp out, all New Jersey have is a bunch of Karens and HOA homes.
fuckin wardens always ruin it for ppl i got my bikes towed 3 times.. n been fined twice.. now i just dont stop i got a ltz 450 beefed up they try to catch me on there quads but im way too fast n ive been ridin since 5... they get so pissed...😂😂😂😂
If u don't have kids just run away. Thats the point I'm at here in nj. I just keep it moving and hide my trailer or ride out. Learning the local trails and connecting them is a process in itself. Cops can eat my roost. I'm respectful when I ride and keep it in the dirt and off private land. Thats as much as I'm willing to do. I try to respect hunting season too but nj sucks for riders. The people causing issues ride em in the streets all day.
Luckly where I live there are 3 different parks really close by that can be rode but the county has been coming down hard on them. Putting more and more rules and restrictions on when they can open hour and day wise, decibal levels for exhaust noise and sending officers out there to measure it, EPA came down on them for riders riding in the creek. There was a 4th place set to open up but several counties came down on them (was close to county borders) for fear of "erosion". Like really? wtf. Who else is gonna protect you from the danger of erosion! Im amazed we have 3 because of how my county is about fun. They dont care about the tax dollars they could get from it, just about killing fun.
This is exactly why I moved outta there to Texas 8 years ago. Cant ride a fucking thing anywhere. That and the bullshit lift laws. Moved to Texas and my 78 bronco is back up on 44s.
That’s depending on the state. I used to live in NC and the freedom people have down there compared with Jersey is amazing. Guns, off-roading, hunting, fishing, all is way easier to practice in NC than it is in Jersey.
If they charged a yearly membership and riders had individual insurance they should allow it. If the property is not being used. Just hire a security company to patrol it for issues or problems. They do it in P.A.
Cant ride there but please feel free to pay the cops to ride on there property over in eht a place call ready to ride they waist all that land and fine you a 1000$ an take your away or you can pay them your money anyway and ride on there 30 Acer land at well over 250$ per person or 80$ for a day pass witch you also have to have a small safety class that cost you 60$ got to love new Jersey make shit illegal so the state can make money from it
There are sanctioned places to go i know in the state forest by me they have atv courses during the year one atv park closed maybe a new site made available would help
Its a bunch of b.s. bro..... I go to pa with my kids.....if you reg and insure your bikes..... You can ride them legally in most state forests..... The terrain tho is not for beginners
they don't want us riding the streets but they have places like this to ride safely wheres the middle ground all we want is a safe place to ride out off road vehicles that they make us register and insure
until you're upstate on open roads and u go into the woods amd they have the local game lands search for you by helicopter like i was. im telling you i sat in the woods with my bike off and i took pine branches and sticks and leaves and hid my bike and myself. it was like rambo first blood lmao... outcome of the story they took my ktm and i had to pay 3000 dollars in fines
Sad they gave you & your family tickets, THEN made you leave! Hell, at least let you stay rest of day. Us guys from Philly would've had the whole day of fun, had it on GoPro, and when L.E arrives......C-YA! Thanks for vid. -Liked
yeah.... real smart Philly.... when your day was done and they had confiscated your trucks that you towed the quads in you guys from Philly would have wondered who stole my truck?
@@ReddyReg the giant power lines that run all across N.J. alot of times they are maintained by the power companies and the trails can stretch for miles.. I ride them up here in North Jersey because I'm to far from the pine barrens.. I always have a blast but if you get caught you have to take off, it's a pretty big fine..
Too many reckless fools lots from other states too ruin it for everyone not just atvs when roads are closed. Please dont be reckless follow rules tearing up the forest for your fun is criminal and so destructive to the fragile environment better nobody driving there if it cant be stopped
Welcome to the new America! It’s a damn shame We the people own the land that these people are using. Our taxes pay the cops that are harassing taxpayers that are using public land. It’s not right It should be illegal for cops to bother families being together and having fun. Unless we the people do something about it We will be told where and when we will be able to do everything! I miss riding There is no where to go! And look at all the land! That is doing nothing just sitting there But a billionaire can give money to the government take the land and make condos and shopping centers on it.! The whole tree hugger thing is BS!!!! It money! Everything is MONEY!!! 😡😡😡
These people who stay out in the open like this will always get hassled. Go way back into the woods and keep it moving and youl never have a problem. Also get yourself a platte bike, that way you can move around a lot better. There’s thousands of miles of awsome riding in NJ, you just have to be smart, riding unknown area like this out in the wide open is never good. These people’s problems is they’ve never been hear before and assume any wooded area is good.
I really didn't hear a location being mentioned besides forbidden forest , which could be any where in NJ. Ther are lots of places to ride thousands of acres of pine lands in jersey you just have to not get busted. Lucky the game wardens did not impound there bikes.
Yeah it sucks and you seem like good people but this place is really only for the locals, we don’t want out of towners coming in since they don’t respect the place and don’t know the unwritten rules.
There's hundreds of places like this in nj. Find a more discreet entrance or someone's house to park at. I stay on trails and only run around in the wide open pits for a few laps. Keep it movin
