This year we finished up spring tillage by taking my 3 bottom plow down to do a small custom garden job that we then went back and disced up to get ready to plant.
Hey...went on a road trip through the US back in 2014, one stop was in central Ohio, took in a few auctions. Seemed like the older tillage equipment was being bought up and shipped overseas to be made into Kia's etc...here too (eastern Ontario). Not any more. Big market for it now, given the cost (and scarcity) of new equipment. Friend of mine knows where all that stuff is hidden behind barns within about a 50 mile radius (used to own a sale barn). He buys it up, puts a coat of paint on it, and resells it within a day or 2. Tremclad should be giving him a medal. Cheers and keep up the good work!
Was really bad up in Alberta about 10yrs ago, Chinese buyers were buying just about anything they could at auction , I seen 10 yr old heavy equipment getting torched and loaded onto railcars to be loaded at prince rupert for China.. not sure it's the same now..
