Early morning rush at East Midlands Airport on Tuesday 6th August 2013. I arrived at just after 6am and stayed until 11:40 to catch the Thomson 787 leave bound for Orlando.
INCLUDES: Thomson Boeing 737's & 787 (arrival & departure!), Jet2 Boeing 737's & 757, Thomas Cook Airbus A321's, Monarch Airbus A321's, Freebird A320, Flybe Dash8's, BMI Regional ERJ135 and more!
All the destinations & origins & flight numbers of the ones I knew I've added, makes it a bit more interesting when you know where they're off to!
I've uploaded the Thomson 787 footage as a separate video, which includes a bit more footage than shown in this video.

Great video. Top marks to rachaelmatt. Pity about the 787. Poor hard up Thompson could not afford RR Trent 1000 had to buy the GE Rubbish. Thomas Cook for me this year.

I live very close to East Midlands airport and for some reason monarch don't fly there any more also Thomas Cook only fly there once a week and the airport is very famous for Ryanair but yes any questions please ask.

Thomas Cook fly like 6 routes a day from East Midlands Airports, must of changed a lot.

How do u not get spotted by the security just standing in the cold watching planes take-off and land do u get bored and cold

Because they are outside of the airport hence the big fence meaning security can't do much about it:)

How do you get so close without airport security picking you up? You could have a machine gun instead of a camera!

As long as you are outside the airport boundaries which are indicated by the big fence, you are free to do what you want. Airport security only become suspicious if you are spotting from inside the airport i.e. on top of a car park - they really don't like rooftop spotters!
